I'm going back to school again! Well it's not exactly a school but a community club/center where people of different ages and walks of life gather for activities and learning new skills for life. I'm one of the students who have signed up for a foundation photography course conducted by the club and it's starting next month. I was very much excited as I'm going to learn a new skill which is also my lifelong interest, and I would expect to meet a lot of new friends who share the same interest! I heard that the teacher is strict but a friendly guy who truly cares for the students. I'm looking forward to the first lesson! So people, do you feel happy that you get a chance to be a student again and learn a new skill or hobby, outside the working hours? Or do you think it's a added burden? Whatever it is, do share some of your thoughts! Cheers!

learning is an on going process through life.. it never stops.. i had been in the working field for two years before going back to the university.. so i have the chance of experience both case.. at the beginning of work, you feels glad that you're free.. but once you work for nearly a year, you feels like your life is stuck somehow.. and what you've learned is jus so staying at your work.. i felt happy when i know i got accepted in the university.. similarly, now having been through it for 2 whole years, i finds that i want to work again, having gone through all the examination stress and workloads or assignments.. but if you have a hobby that u enjoy building up, it will be fun and interesting going through the process of learning it.. provided you have a lot of time to put effort into it without having other work to go against the process of learning it.. besides, it is often advised for retired or aging people to pick up a hobby that they like, in order to spend their time with, and at the same time, keep their mind fresh of new ideas and thinking process going.. a hobby that do not require a lot of energy and at the same time promotes relaxation or creativity should be best in this case..

I enrolled in a private college last September an I love it. It is a very intense course with a lot of work involved but I feel enriched by it. If I had it to do over again, I might take something that was a bit less demanding to start out with but that's just because I didn't foresee the overtime at my surrent job. I love to learn new things and I appreciate it more now than I did when I was younger.
