P's and Q;s..these two things is so important in our lives..it also shows someone's attitude whether they say it or could not been bothered with it..frankly i don't like people ask for my help or maybe getting something from me and then just leave..hello..so rude!..what about you?do you feel offended with such people?sometime people can get mad about this two small things..beside,what is so hard to say please and thank you..??.i just don't get it why sometimes my friends 'forgot' to say these things..do you agree with me?

Its very important to say please and thank you. Its the respectful thing to do. Even if you don't like what the person has done or given you, if they meant well, its nice to let them know that you appreciate them. Its not about the thing they gave you, its about them. Even if its not a big deal, like you feel its part of their job, you should still thank them. The person that rings up your groceries, thank them, the person that takes your order, thank them, etc. Something as simple as showing appreciation can really mean alot to someone, and they'll have a better day, which in return they'll be more likely to do the same thing to the next person, until you find people are being friendlier and more respectful towards you as well.

Yes,what you said is just the same to me.Many people said,if you leave your country to another country, you should say thank you in that country's language. This is very important to do that. When you said thank you and please to people, they will become very happy to help you.

I think tht it is always right to say please aswell as thank you no matter who you are saying it to.I have always made my children say please aswell as thank you since they were very tiny.I think that people should teach their children to say these words aswell as when they do not say the words they should refresh their minds.I never forget to say please aswell as thank you.

Those 2 simple words can create ones impression to a person, it shows her attitude and breeding in some ways. Sometimes, I get mad to people who is so rubbish to ask a favor but don't know how to say please or even say thank you afterward. as if, im obligated to do, what he/she favorably ask. It shows what kind of family training she/he had

I believe that please and thank you are the basics of good manner and right conduct. I also think that it is easier to ask anybody for something when you say please. Then to say thank you after they've done something for you is the least you can do to show gratitude. It will definitely make them feel good to have done it for you. My mother taught me to say these words from the moment I could talk and I did the same for my children. It is certainly more gratifying to be a mother when I hear them use these words to me and to other people as well. I understand how you feel about this matter. But maybe, just maybe, your friends are so very comfortable with your relationship that they sometimes forget to use their P's and Q's. I am not sure if it's alright but it is possible to jokingly remind them of it.

The polite attitude shall be beneficial to anywhere. It is important to say thank you and please. It reminds me of a primarcy school. They say even if the children learn nothing there, but at least they learn the politeness. The truth is this primary school is one of the best schools here. I love China

I like saying please and thank you. I also like it when I get pleasant response to my please and a nice "you are welcome". There are times when I get irked when I do not get a please or thank you and I see the need to chide the person for not having proper manners. I try to be patient most of the time though. Cheers!

If we would be all polite, we would have a better world. In my country, Romania, but in just one city, as i know, it`s a campain to make poeple be more polite and it reminds them that it`s nice to say "buna ziua" hello and good bye " la revedere" . Sibiu it`s a city that wants to be always on top. It was in 2007 the capital of cuture .

These two words are very simple and would mean a lot to someone who is trying to help. It's part of ethics that everybody should be aware of. It also happened to me a lot of times when people just don't recognize what I'm doing just by simply saying thank you or they don't know how to ask for something politely. It is really annoying for me.

I would say its important. Its just courtesy a sweet gesture and we dont hav to pay anything to do that.I dont get offended when someone doesnt use these words but i pity them. It just shows their upbringing.

yes..it is totally free..i am you don't have to pay whenever you want to say it..just spit it out!!about the upbringing part..i do agree because parents should teach their children to use p's and q's since a little age or they won;t be able to do it so when they grow up
22 Jun 10
i agree with u friend... i will provide all my help if it s asked so.. if it s asked rudely,,, i will simply avoid those people.. it s a very good habit to practice saying please and thank you....
