i have been thinking of either to work at a hospital or be a public health nurse. i really wanted to go abroad because it pays well there, but unluckily, i dont have that fortune yet.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for nurses is "excellent", which means that job openings compared with job seekers may be MORE numerous (which means that there will be more jobs open then there are people to fill them). The projected growth rate for nurses that work in public health care or hospitals is expected to reach 17% (and is expected to grow more slowly in hospitals).
Median wages were $62k in 2008 (not too shabby for a 2-year degree).
