It is amazing how in the past 10 years, cellular phones have become a huge part of everyone's lives.
I can remember when the cell phones first came out, how little they were used. Soon after, all of the sudden people became extremely attached to their phones, some so badly they had the phone practically glued to their ear.
I know that I use my cell some, but not a lot, oh sure I will text friends and family on occasion and I will call and talk for longer periods of time, but, I must admit that I have noticed that many people can't live without their cell phones.
Are you one of them? Are you severely attached to your cell phone?

You are so right. It is amazing how the size of the cell phone has changed. You know that reminds me of the "car phones" I got to thinking about them the other day, they were truly the first "cell phones" However, the communication was simply done over special short wave radios.

I don't even have a cell phone at the moment. I am home most of the time so have access to the internet and landline. But when we go away on day trips, I would like one then, so I can ring home to check everything is okay there. My husband usually has a mobile phone, but his isn't working at the moment.

I only use mine when I am away from the home for the most part. It is a good way for the kids to get a hold of me sometimes when I am out.
When I am home, I usually turn off the cell, there is really no point in having it on. Well, okay once in a while, if I know someone is attempting to get a hold of me for particular reasons.
In many aspects I wish we were back to the way things were before cell phones. The darn things have created so much stress and tension for people. They have created this huge wave of everyone wanting an answer right this very minute and no one is really looking at the whole picture of time in general. Issues due take time to manage adding a way to communicate and make huge demands has really added to situations. It is really amazing.

I must admit the one part that truly scares me, is seeing the children under the age of 6 that have a cellphone. It is like their parents don't understand that children that young don't need that form of communication yet. Hell, I was over 30 when I got my first cell. My children didn't get theirs until they were late teens.
I understand the need for communication, but there are certain levels that I feel we all need to really look at. Some really push the limit.
