Do you eat a lot of vegetables?

Japan

I don't really eat vegetable because I'm not a vegetable lover. I only eat carrots and potatoes those two only. But I still want to start eating vegetables because lot of people said it's good for your health, but everytime I tried to eat it makes me throw up and I don't really like the taste except those two that I listed above. What do you recommend for me to eat vegetable guys? Do you eat a lot of vegetables? What do you like about it? How does it taste? I had bad experience with bitter melon and I think that's the reason why I dislike vegetables. All answer will be greatly appreciate:) Thank you guys

vegetables irritate me alot..i feel they are very tasteless ..i eat all kind of unhygenic and junkies which are really harmful for health...but seriously vegetables are very important for maintaining a proper health...i have been experiencing this for the past few days because for the past few days i am more into vegetables and almost a no no to junkies...it gives me energy to stay active whole day...it reduces weight...which is quite important for me ..hehe...it helps to maintain a good figure and a healthy system inside.ity helps to improve eyesight, skin texture, intelligence power...evrything...so me inspite of being an anti vegetable eater...i would always believe and suggest everyone to have lots of vegetables every day.

I know right? vegetables just look so irritating sometimes and I just always watch my family and coworkers eating veggies and most people that knows me well knew that I don't eat veggies, and I always get teased with my family telling that they're going to serve vegetables in my weeding day haha but lucky me they didn't do it because they know I will be hellaa mad:) haha it's funny sometimes because my family and coworkers call me carnivore haha. Yesterday I tried to eat salad but I can't stand the taste what I did is pour almost 1/2 cup of italian dressing haha it turns to be a salad soup haha

Yes, I do eat vegetables because they are a good source of vitamins and minerals. However, too much of anything is usually not a good thing. According to the National Institute of Health, Vitamin A (which can be found in carrots) promotes healthy surface linings in the respiratory, urinary and intestinal tracks. However, too much Vitamin A can lead to birth defects, liver problems and nausea. If you eat too many carrots, your skin may also turn yellowish orange.

Yes, I do eat a lot of vegetables. Since my parents always cook food with vegetables since I was a child I got used to eating them and I learned to love too. But there are just some vegetables that I can't dare to eat just like carrots and ampalaya (vegetable only found in my country, it is very bitter),i think those two are the only vegetables I hate the most. Vegetables have so many benefits, it is really good for your body (your face and immune system). It also keeps you away from sickness because of the nutrients that it gives. It also can help you maintain your weight. Vegetables have different taste, if you are not used to eating it, you will really not like the taste. I think all you need to do is get used to it. I dont know what to recommend because I dont know the type of vegetables you have in your country.

Before, I don't really like eating bitter melon, of course of bitter taste. But when I learned the many benefits of it, I started to like it. There is still the bitter taste, but I was able to practice eating it and conditioned my mind. You have to command your brain and your taste buds will follow what your brain says. So now, since I started to all vegetables, I became healthier in all aspects.

Well, carrots are a good thing, but potatoes are loaded with carbohydrates, and are something you would want to eat during the day, instead of at night-time for supper. Melon is a fruit, not a vegetable by the way. If you want something tasty, eat some fresh Radishes dipped in a vinaigrette, or simply salt them! The only way you'll know if you like them is if you try them!

I am a vegetarian and I thrive on vegetables. I do not have any strong preferences and would eat any vegetable if properly cooked. I also love fruits and tend to eat almost all varieties that are available without discrimination :) Cheers! Ram

My response to this question is obviously yes without any doubt! As a Chinese, fortunately dishes with various kinds of vergetable are always very delicious for me. I needn't often pay attention to eating more vegetables intentionally at all.Do you know “Pork and Vegetable Wonton”or“Sauteed Seasonal Vegetables”?Well, just two simple daily dishes filled with vegetables for example, they are tasty and nutritious.I am not showing off dishes from my country right now at all, just trying to point out that it is not unbelievable to do well in both nutrition and taste. So try it in another way, maybe eating vegetables will be enjoyable for you in the future.

You don't like corn, peas or green beans? I thought that everyone like them. You should get at least 5 servings a day of fruits and veggies. Potatoes have a lot of starch in them and carrots have a tremendous amount of sugar. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't eat them but they should be eaten more in moderation. I would suggest that you go to the market and just browse through the produce aisle and make a list of the veggies that appeal to you and try adding one a week until you reach a minimum of 5 servings. I try to incorporate veggies into everything I cook. Have you tried mock potatoes that use cauliflower as a substitute for potatoes? They are fantastic. I also like to cut a pepper in quarters (I prefer red or yellow) and stuff it with tuna salad. I add tomatoes, green pepper, onions and corn to my chili. How about a grilled portabello mushroom on a bun. Yummy. Also try cutting veggies into strips and grilling them on the barbecue. Tons and tons of ways to incorporate veggies. Good luck

How old are you kyle2krystel if you do not mind me asking? When I was younger, I only ate potatoes and onions. They were they only vegetables that I liked. These days I eat all sorts of vegetables and love them. Potatoes and onions I still love, but I try not to eat them as much as other vegetables as they are low in nutrients. Today, I eat lots of leafy greens which are not really vegetables, but are often classed as vegetables. I also like to eat carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, squash and non sweets fruits such as Capsicum, Tomato, zucchini and cucumbers which are also usually classed as vegetables.

I only started eating vegetables in my early twenties at 21 when I moved out of home. That is why I asked your age. I never liked the type of vegetables that my mother cooked or the way that she cooked them when I was a child. When I started living with other people, then I started enjoying them more. Plus our tastes change when we become adults too. I really like salads now, but up until about 5 years ago, I did not like them. I had just never had a salad that I liked before. now that I know how I like them, I can enjoy them regularly.

I am 23 years old and I just started eating vegetables. I had bad experience with vegetable that made me dislike it. I do eat carrots and potatoes and I also tried veggie meat, I know vegetables are way healthier than other foods and I really want to start eating them. Today I had salad again which is I think the best way for me to start because I can put any salad dressing I want to add flavor. So far I like them and I can say that I can eat veggies now except bitter melon.

I don't eat vegetables like I should. The most vegetables I eat are onions which I put in the foods I prepare and canned spinach. I do love prepared greens and string beans, and I like potatoes, brocoli, and all kinds of beans.

hi kyle2krystel did you ever eat a vine ripened tomato thats warm from the sun out of a real garden? You should try it.do you eat g reen crispy salads with tomatoes, lettuce and cucumbers? how about sweet potatoes as you said you like potatoes? I eat a lot of veggies as they are really good for people who have diabetes. try V8 juice as its really good.'make yourself try different vegetables, not bitter melon thats a fru it anyway.,do noteat bitter veggies as that will really turn you off. try yams they are sweet and very good for you.if you like carrots try parsnips as they are sweet like carrots, also beets, surely not all veggies make you throw up, forget the blasted bittermelon. yuck it sounds disgusting. How about chili beans do you like chili?beans are really so good for you you really should try different vegetables and do not go into it thinking it will make you throw up. do you like fruit? a lot of fruits can be as good for you as veggies are.I like celery as its crisp and clean, also tomatoes as they are flavorful and juicy. Peas are good for you and have an almost potato like flavor.just try different things til you find the tastes you like.

Broccoli - I love it!
Hello Kyle. Trust me, not all vegetables taste odd. There are good ones too. I love broccoli especially when it's crispy and half cooked. It goes well with beef or even just mildly buttered or steamed and served as a side dish with carrots, young corn and turnips. I'm sure you'll like it. You can give it a try.

We try to eat as many vegetables as we can, but we are definitely not vegetarians. We balance it out with other foods. We have kids, so we really want to show them the importance of eating vegetables. My parents grow bitter melon, so I know what that is . . . but I'll tell you most vegetables don't even taste like that - so don't dislike vegetables because of bitter melons!! Now, our little son has just started eating solid food . . . they tell us to start off with the orange veggies because they are the sweetest. Sweet potatoes, carrots, acorn squash, butternut squash. Then move on to greens. Cucumbers are pretty good, and most people like it. I think peas are sweet, but some people don't like them. If you don't like bitter melon, I would stay away from the mustard greens for now as they can be bitter too. Maybe if you ate them in soup or salads you might like veggies!! I am into eating vegetables raw these days . . . I like the crispiness of them and eating them for the pure pleasure of raw taste.
