I have just graduated from my high school. Now is time to enter the bachelor level of education. But right now I am in confusion in which subject to choose. I am interested in Computer field. More specifically in information technology and software field.
NOw I see two paths ahead, Bachelor in Information Technology and Bachelor in Computer Application.
I am tottally unknown about the syllabus for any of these course. However I atleast know that they all contains programming, ecommerce etc.
I am planning to join informatics college (singapore board). I even inquired them about courses I'll have to study. But they never replied me.
Since IT and BCA is internation field. I would like to have some suggestions from you. Specifically which course is better and why?
Please help me decide my career ahead.

i suggest it's IT since these days it is most common in every country and you can use it for job anywhere else. i personally choose IT because of the trend today you can apply anywhere you want as long as you have background in computer and the varity of work you can easily choose to them after you graduate.

Hi,
It really doesn't matter dear. Whatever you choose, you have to excel in that field. I have done Bachelors in Engineering and then I got into MCA. Probably I will quit MCA if I get a chance in M. Tech. IT is more of a professional degree. It means, that if you join this field, after completion when you will have to get a job you will have more option to choose from. The BCA on the other hand is more precise course and perhaps of much smaller duration. Both of them includes almost the same number of subjects. But some employer are only interested in hiring IT professionals. The typical subjects that are taught in both of these two courses are Digital Electronics, Computer Organization, Discrete Mathematics, C language, Assembly Language and Microprocessors, Data Structure, Algorithms, Operating Systems, Database Management System, Object Oriented Technology etc. These are the most fundamental subjects. Try to get some grip on these subjects and you may go a long way. If you need any help on your study just let me know. I have made a blog www.technolocus.blogspot.com just to help students like you. I want free access to education for students. Thanks.
God bless you
