Wimbledon 2010: French Open Finalist Samantha Stosur dumped in the first round!!

Samantha Stosur, the surprising finalist at this year's French Open championship has been dumped out by Kaia Kanepi of Estonia 6-4, 6-4. The sixth seed is the first major upset in this year's Wimbledon. Your thoughts on this? Cheers! Ram

It just shows that the changes in the grass have gone a long way toward removing the big serve as an overpowering weapon at Wimbledon. Stosur is supposed to have one of the best serves in women's tennis but it wasn't enough.

Yes, the adaptation from the slow red clay to the zippier grass court is usually a big step for most players. Cheers! Ram

What I was actually referring to was that the grass at Wimbledon used to be a lot faster and the serve was much more important in most cases.

:) Welcome to Wimbledon :) What is happening to finalists.. Down in south africa both the finalists from last world cup have been eliminated in the first round!! Cheers! Ram
