unemployment lower thy self esteem?

i am totally sad of being unemployed. first, i am bored of nothing to do. second i have no money. and lastly everytime i see other people with good jobs crushes my heart thus lowering my self esteem. is it really this hard getting jobs? were my parents been through like this during their time?

It is hard to be without a job. One place i worked i was off about 6 months a year. With children, house work and garden i was seldom bored.
Hopefully the economy will pick up and the young people will be busy and feel good about themselves, even if the jobs suck.
