Because i've been told by psychics that they can also see spirits of dogs, cats, horses, etc. And i've read quite a few articles at paranormal.about.com corroborating that claim by sharing their own experiences regarding their own encounter with the 'souls' of dead animals. I read an article that 2 'ghost felines' regularly visit him at his home. He can feel their weight and their fur but he cant see them. So how about you? Do you believe that animals have souls as well? Or not? I think i kinda believe it, but i also wonder if fishes and other sea creatures are included in the list, since it would be weird to see their spirits in the afterlife, since they're supposed to stay inside the sea right? Lol.

I have absolutely no doubt in me that animals, and not just pet animals, have souls. all animals. us included. fish too. and plants. even rocks. every living thing has a soul. (I know most people don't see rocks as having life. I believe they do, but their life experience is so very different from ours that most people don't see it. but the energy I feel from them means I believe they have life of some form) I've seen ghost animals. but this in itself is not proof. you get ghost carriages and cars too. but the inanimate objects are only ever the echo sort of haunting. a replaying of an event. animal ghosts are often of the sort that will respond to and interact with their surroundings. conscious spirits, rather than an echo. dogs often stay behind to look after us. most wild animals, you don't encounter the ghosts. I think this is most likely because they live a natural life, and move on easily to the next stage. they don't develop the ties that domestic animals often do. wild animals usually face the next step just as easily as they face the next day. I think it's very very arrogant that some people think that human beings are the only animals with a soul. and it's not just arrogant. it's sad. sad that they can't see how we're all linked together. how close we all are on a spiritual level. if you are an atheist and don't believe anything has a soul, then that's fine. but to beleive humans have souls and other animals don't seems very ignorant.

we are animals. we're not rocks. rocks are so different to us that I can understand why people don't consider them as having life, as the manner of that life would be so far outside of their understanding of life. biologically we are animals. therefore if you believe we have souls then why would we be the only species of animal to have them? and if you don't believe in souls then no one has them, whatever their species. but to think some animals have them and some don't is strange.

You understand why people don't think rocks are a life form, but you can't understand why they don't believe animals have souls? I don't believe in the whole thing, but I can see why some might think animals aren't on the same level as humans. They, according to popular belief, don't make choices, only act on instinct, and having a soul trapped here because they have unfinished business is like saying a tree's soul is waiting for someone to recycle the paper made out of him.

Thats something new. I didnt know that rocks can emit some form of energy. I thought they were just lifeless, coz they dont move. Or even grow. And it has always been a mystery why some people see a ghost coffin floating around. Maybe a spirit that's connected to those objects willed it to be visible? And dogs are really man's best friend huh, even in the afterlife, coz they still stay behind to look after their masters, unlike cats.

I do believe that animals have a soul like human. Even, I believe that plans have soul as well. In my belief, every organism have soul and encounter reincarnation. Life as plans or animals, the souls will reincarnation forward. Only life as human our soul can be reborn backward. Why? Because as human being we have thought and we know which one is good act and which one is bad. While plans and animals don't have thought. All they do in their life is only based on their instinct and God's will. That's why their soul will always reborn forward until they reincarnation as human. Hence, as human being, we have to do good things and stay away from bad things in other to move forward and reborn to better quality. The last, my goal in life is united to the God.

Yes i agree with you, there are just some things that cant be explained in this world. I used to wonder where did God come from, coz everyone must have came from something but no one can really answer that.

I do think they have. They feel everything pain, hunger etc. In every aspect they are like human being. They live in their own way. They communicate with their own community. They built homes. They do reproduce, etc. Whatever we human beings do, they also do in their own way. So human beings have soul why they dont have.

Precisely. It makes sense right? They do the things that we do. I just dont know why as roman catholics, we were taught that animals dont have souls.

Thanks for your response. But just imagining those cockroaches lingering in heaven can be quite awkward though. Hehe.

Spirits and souls are extra-sensory objects that, in a nutshell, are beyond what science and logic could perceive. Any scientific research may find it very difficult to prove whether, living creatures, even human, have that so-called "soul". But I personally believe, that there is this "lifeform" existing in this world. Maybe if you have ever watched "Final Fantasy Advent Children" intro and played the game Final Fantasy VII, you might find a better view about what I believe. The movie and the game might seem a bit childish and "Japanish", but if you take a closer look, the idea might explain this phenomenon better about what happens in the world and what do the lifeforms/spirits do in this world.

Oh im a gamer, although i havent played final fantasy or watched the movie. So as of now, i cant relate to your example. But i do agree that when living things die, there must be a new world out there thats waiting for them, and this time, they will live there eternally. Science will never get to explain anything thats paranormal. Its something that will forever remain a mystery. Unless you pass away and see the other dimension yourself.
