Last night,it was thundering and raining outside,at that time,my friend asked me to get online. At the beginning,I worried about it was dengerous and refused to chart with her by QQ,but she told me that it was safe. Finally,I got online in fear and trembling. So I want to know whether it is safe?

Definitely not. It should be more dangerous when you are using your cell phone. It'll change the electric-magnetic field distribution around you and attract the lightning.
But even you lift a metal stick, the possibility of being struck by lightning is very small too. Maybe without the stick the probability is 1/1000000000, and with the stick it increases to 1/1000000... 1000 times, but it is still close to zero.
What to do? it depends on your own mind. For me, I will treasure my life and refuse the chat request.

don't worry, friend ... as long as your cellphone is not connected directly with the flow of electricity. Another problem, if you use cellphone when charging.

yes you can still surf online what ever the weather outside and I think there is no danger with that but maybe sometimes your problem is to find a good signal because sometimes the signal is being by the weather outside.

It's completely safe to use your cellphone during a thunderstorm - by sending and receiving signal, it doesn't increase it's chances to grab an electrical charge.
It might be unhealthy to have your cell phone plugged in during a lightning storm, as there isn't much surge protection on a mobile phone, but that doesn't present any physical harm to you.
