Hi everyone. If i say " I LOVE YOU", i mean if i say you this line would you accept it easily? Here in my locality no one can address anybody by this sentence if he/she is not the partner. If i say this sentence to any close female friend, then either i would be misunderstood or be slapped. So what about you? If i write this sentence in a response or comment, would you take it easily? Thanks in advance.

Let me put it this way, sweetie. ''I love you'', is not words to play with. It is either really meant or it should not be used at all. If someone said that to me here, i would probably be pissed. And i can take a joke, but not that.
TATA.

I think "I love you" has been overused in the past few years. It should be said to your life partner and your children. I do say it to my close friends because I do love them but not every time I talk with them or see them, it's something very special and meaningful for me. You see people here saying "I love you" at the close of every conversation even two in a row with the same person. It's like "have a nice day" used to be back in the 70's.
We have sucked the life and meaning out of "I love you", it's not special anymore. So I like the way your locality regards it.

Hi, thanks for the informations. Here our society is too rigid or conservative for which they never tend to take any intimacy with that line. They always consider that line as reserved. Again, as we are not native english speaker, we commonly dont use those sentences. Have a nice day.

Hi. If you'll tell me you love me as a response or comment, I will not believe it. Why? Because you don't know me so I can't see any reason why you will love me. But don't worry, I will not slap you or anything, LOL! I'll just appreciate the way you try to please me. Anyway, I might believe you if you'll just say you like me.

I say "I love you" all the time!
I even say "I love you" because a person posted a good discussion. I only meant it at the time he posted the discussion, the rest of it I don't know him and does not want to know more.
So, if you say "I love you" to me, I will quickly reply "I love you, too." It is that easy for me. And I don't care if you perceive it differently.

actually, when you say that line, make sure you mean it. don't say that line just to anybody even though you don't know them as for sure they will take it negatively. we say, i love you's to people we love and care for like friends, families, supporters. so, before you say that line, think first, do you really love that person?

Well friend. I understand what u have said. Here if i love a female friend and say her that sentence, then she will think that i have proposed her to be my girl friend. So i cant say it to anyone except parents. If i really care someone, then too. Take care.

i see no wrong telling this words to a friend and family members, other than your partner. if someone you don't know tells these to you, you will really get shocked.

hello dear bhai,
That's your culture.
But here in my country,i love you for a friend is fine.
Like saying "i love you friend" in an occasion, instead of saying "thank you" to a friend who lend help,as friends we say "i love you friend ".
But,if you wrote it here without a reason,i don't know with the others about their opinion.
Maybe some will find it offensive, for others it will be just fine.
Anyway, have u said i love you to someone here in mylot dear brother ?
Have a good day always, your profile picture is nice nah

well didi,
if u give a look to this entire dis, then u will find that there are some members here who are still dont like to take this sentence easily although their cultures approve. again, we can take it easily where as our cultures don't accept.
yes, as far my memory is concerned, i have used i love you once in mylot. perhaps, i wrote i love you didi to a mylotter named by jaiho. hahaha.
i love you didi. take care.

" I LOVE YOU" is the sweetest word a person can hear. Again it differs to our culture and characters. In America all people just can say " I LOVE YOU" without a weight. Even in the Philippines people can say that to their friends and loved ones. You can say this with various meaning because Love has its varieties too.

hi baby. oh nice to see your avatar. beautiful.
yeah, its the sweetest word that a person can hear. its also true that it differ to our cultures and characters. i think you are something wrong here when you have said that in america, its easy to deliver. i dont think so bcoz if u give a look on this entire discussion, then you will see some americans who are not ready to accept this sentence easily.
have a nice day.

if my friends say it in a funny way,i wouldn;t mind..when i was 14,my friend ask one of my guy classmate to say 'i love u' to me..he is a normal friend but when he said that i blushed..not that i like him..it's just that they force him to say it so sweet and to make it real..surely i blushed like hell!!and they make fun at me..but it is a serious three words that people can;t go around and say it like they want too..because ppl will can take it wrongly...

i love you nowadays is really a common word , i wouldn't slap you or anything if you say it to me, it's a natural way of expressing what you feel..
saying i love you doesn't mean you have to tell it only to your partner, you can say it to some of your friends or those who are close to you or even to strangers..
it's okay to say I Love You but don't expect every ones gonna answer i love you too

Well, sometimes people really mean it when they say it.At that very moment. You can't give a certificate to prove that your words are true.I think, let it be.If a person is honest, even for a few seconds, I accept it.Why should we reject good words? It's like when someone tells you're attractive.OK, maybe I look attractive for him/her today. Some people who broke up where in love for some time, so, if they not together today, it doesn't mean they never were in love and that all they said was a lie.

Eastern culture does not allow people to be demonstrative.
So,saying 'I love you' liberally is out! In the confines of privacy, you can express these words to the one you adore. They may not like it but they will not show any anger. Western culture allows hugging and kissing and so saying such sweet nothings is really no big deal!

To me,where i come from saying i love you is that it is an intimate word to say.TO me it my husband and my family who can say i love to me.If you will say i love to me and i do not know you i will slap your face coz its kinda rude and informal to say.
