From a friend's facebook page:
When I was 5 years old my Mom always told me the key to life is happiness. When I went to school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down "happy." They told me I didn't understand the assignment. I told them they didn't understand life.
So what do you want to be when you "grow up"?

When I was younger, I usually said I wanted to be a teacher. As I got older, I discovered I loved languages and gymnastics, so I considered a career in the diplomatic service, translating, sports journalism, many things. But instead I got married and became a mother, so now I am a housewife and mum to four teenagers.

As a child all I ever wanted to be was a wife and mother. I guess I achieved that because I was a wife for two years in the early 80s and became a single mother in 1994. Not exactly as I imagined it. Now I'm 52 and ancient of days. All I want to be is pain-free.
Funny how our dreams change as we age.
