Earning money from MyLot - how does it all add up?

I think I have spent about three hours so far on MyLot and created about 20 posts plus responses, but I have only earnt $0.33 - am I doing anything wrong?

Mylot pays you on both quality and quanity of your post. If your posts are one line or two lines you will get less then if you have a post that is a page long. I don't think of mylot as a place to earn money, I think of it as a place to interact with others with the added benefits of earning a little bit. I think your earnings were great!

Well, I agree with some of the previous responders - you should really consult FAQ for getting idea of the earnings system. Still, I can say that 0.33$ is not bad for one day, at least for me. You should not expect to earn loads of money from there - you won't.
