My fiances uncle had an accident at work. He hit his head and is in a comatose state. They will be pulling the plug today. It has only been five or six days that he has been in the hospital. My fiance is a wreck as he was close to his uncle. I try to give the support that I can but it feels like my words are dumb. It is breaking my heart watching is heart break. Instead of words I am just trying to be with him. What can a person really say or do to make someone feel better? Is there really anything that can be done or does time have to play out? Luckilly I have not ever had to be in his situation. Anyone that I have been close to that has died has always been older and expected. Please any advise would be nice.

Well dear I guess this is the time when your loved one needs you the most. he must be tensed and depressed and must need a support to stand by.
Although you can do nothing regarding the health of his uncle but still you can give a provide a moral support and motivation to your fiance and make him feel that you're with him in every difficulty and in all the bad times. Just try to make him feel better and keep him hopeful about his uncle.
i hope things will sort out perfectly very soon.
take care.

My heart and prayers go out to your fiance and his family and to you as well. I know that it must be really hard watching your fiance going through this sadness, and I am so sure you have given him such comforting words. but just by being there for your fiance is also very comforting and caring just him knowing that you are there for him. I know it is hard seeing him go through this especially when they had to pull the plug but hold him in your arms and tell him that you will continue to be there for him and let him know how much you care for him. I will keep you all in my prayers and thoughts sweetie hang in there and pray for him.

Of course you can help, tell him you love him no matter how bad the situation is...
Perhaps you can encourage him to exercise to recover better or make him some good food...
Tell him there is still hope...
