I just want to be rich enough to enjoy life...

To own a penthouse and a luxury yacht does not make one rich if one is faced with a debt. A debt that is too big to recover from the sale of the penthouse and the yacht. If you are faced with such a big debt I don't think you are happy. I don't think you are happy either if you don't have enough to do what you want to do. And you don't have to wait to be rich enough to do all that you want to do. To have enough to do some of what you want to do is surely rich enough.

Just enough money to have my own house, my own transport and my own business. Enough money to be out of the country. Well I guess that means I have to be rich.. Id like to be one, but its not easy... Im not that lucky enough.. How I wish I could win the lottery.. Id really take care of the money.

I would have to say that my definition of rich money-wise is the same as yours...having enough so you don't have to worry about bills, etc...a few years ago when hubby was working in the mines, my definition of being broke was having less than $200 in the bank but now it's having nothing in the bank I would just like to have enough money to not have to worry about how I'm going to pay the next bill & to get myself debt-free.

Hi hvedra~ I also don't feel the need to be "rich". I would also just like to have enough money so that I can pay my bills and not have to worry about money either. I would like to just be able to have enough to go out to dinner or to buy things that aren't extravagant and not have to wait and save forever to get the things I want. I don't want much at this point, just comfort and good health!

I thought about this topic the other day, and there are some things about my life that I am would change if I never had to worry about money. I would buy a nice house and I would travel a lot more than I do today. I would visit a lot of different places in my own country and I would visit many other countries around the world. My husband I and often drive around and visit other places in our local area, but when we want to visit places in other parts of the country we have to be more careful, because we have to pay for gas or pay for crossing some of the bridges, so we can't just travel as much as we want to. If we were rich we would travel around more often than we do today.

I think everyone has the goal of enjoying life. We think that having money will help us achieve the goal. We don't need money to really enjoy the good things of life.The reality comes from within.

Hi hvedra, I'm really satisfied with my simple but happy lifestyle at the moment. What's more nothing would be much happier and more fortunate than I could get along with my loved ones under one roof all the time. Therefore I have nothing in pursuit of What I hope is all of us are always healthy and happy. I don't yearn for to have whatever which is luxury like spacious penthouse, sports car or yatch with cool look, etc. How relaxing and comfortable my current life is. Apart from many other interesting activities like taking favorite foods with my loved ones when going out, spending a few days in the hilltop relaxingly once in a while with my hubby. It's a great fun as well to read and type post at myLot during my daily spare time. I feel refreshed as well seeing my vegetable and flower plants growing vigorously in the courtyard Happy posting

hi hvedra, i agree with your title, it's not like we're materialistic or else, money always become an obstacle in life.. money cannot buy happiness, but i still believe money can bring happiness.. in my family, money issues often give the whole family lots of tension, my father always got stressed with the education costs for both of my sister and i, since the family business wasn't going well that time.. mom also affected by dad's bad behavior due to his stress.. there are many things here, where money is the core problems, so i wander if money isn't a matter to us, we would be easier to have our life.. yes, i want to be rich to enjoy life.. thanks hvedra.. :)

I guess everyone's definition of rich is different. We have a friend who is rich sometimes but because he always takes great risks he has lost his fortune a couple of times but he was able to get it back again. He is a single guy so he can afford to take risks, he is always starting new businesses and once they get rolling he sells them for a profit he is pretty smart, but things have happened to him in the past. Many so called rich people are not really rich at all, sure they make a good living but most of what they have is leveraged and their whole world could come crashing down very quickly if they were to lose their jobs. The truly rich are those who are financially secure and have money coming in from different resources and who own out right their pocessions. Those are the ones that are the fortunate ones the ones who will be just fine no matter what the economy is like.

I don't need a luxury yauht but I would need enough to upgrade my present situation, pay off all my bills, travel. and have enough I can save for old age and never have to worry about money again. I yearn to travel and not have to live from month to month anymore.

I'm like you and just want the simply way of life. Living comfortable and not having to worry about having or not having enough money to pay the bills. I don't want the penthouse or the yacht. I want to be able to eat the foods I love, the bills all paid and be able to come and go as I please to enjoy what the world has to offer each and every one of us. If I was to have all the money in the world I probably end up giving most of it away because I wouldn't want to deal with the stress of it all. I just want enough to live a happy fulfulling life.

For me, being rich comes in so many ways. It can be rich in friends or not the materials things but typically, when we say "rich" it automatically relates to money matters. Well, it is true - my idea of being rich is having a lot of money wherein I will not keep on budgeting, not worrying of my money is enough to if I will spend something and being able to give those who are needy without considering of there will be left something for me.

I want to be rich more than enough so I can still bless others, you know its my dream to extend my fortune to less fortunate because its great to have such privilege to lend a hand to people. I've been having a hard time earning my money so I can help my parents in our financial needs and sometimes we still lack of it so we need to ask assistant to our relatives and I tell you even though they are great people who always help us...It is better to give than to received and the feeling was so awesome! It is my dream that God will bless me more than enough so I can bless others too. Right now I'm not yet rich and I don't get a stable job but you know God is so great that he let me pray a prayer of blessings to the people I know as in I pray for them personally I came in their house and pray for them and its a great feeling specially when they really experience God moving in their lives. dude money will give you power.and with power you get responsibility. when you have tat responsibility you cannot enjoy as you are doing now. so just be happy with what you are.im not so rich either.

I would just like to have enough money to pay the necessary bills and have enough left over to be able to do a little bit extra. I would love to go to a trip to the zoo or go watch a play once in a while.

Hey, that's nice of you to share your dream to be rich. Every one wants to be rich. but no one wants to work hard for it. Hard work brings all the riches into your life. Work hard and also work smart. being rich is not everything. it is necessary that the money is used for the right purpose. Use your money for others and be a blessing to there life. Make use of the money for bringing happiness in others life. You will be blessed. Just enjoying life is not important. It is important that the money you have should be used for good purpose only. So be rich my friend, but use the money for other's good.

in todays time, everyone wants exactly that. so whats new?

well everyone dreams of being rich and to not think about money every day , it would be nice if i could have at list 3 times more then i have nou to feel like i should not worie about money any more :P

If I become a millionaire, well the first thing that I will do is help my relatives to enjoy life also and of course I will travel around the world, buy a house and lot, open a franchise business and donate some for the church.

Funny you should mention that. I grew up with and near wealthy people. My father chose to never spend his. I worked for the wealthy (investment banking). Never having to worry about money never goes away! Unless you are a trust baby. The wealthy chase down a nickel, no lie. There is more to being wealthy than most people know. Be happy in the shoes you're in!
