I rarely buy groceries in the corner shop. I prefer to buy them from supermarkets and hypermarkets. In supermarkets we have the freedom to choose our products and very often we get gift vouchers. I like the product display in supermarkets and all the varieties which are displayed. I just feel comfortable in a supermarket and shop at ease.......my son and daughter usually goes with me when I go to supermarkets.

Where I am you either get your groceries at the grocery store or a supercenter (Wal-mart). I previously used the locally owned grocery store but they have been recently bought out by a national chain. The service at the new national chain is good and the quality is about the same but I really like using a locally owned store in order to keep the money here locally. But like most locally owned stores they are closing thier doors because they can not compete with the purchasing power of the bigger chains.

You are right, most corner shops have to close their door because of the supermarkets. But some are still operating in my locality. And they do have many customers because they give credit facilities.

I buy in supermarket because I made shopping once a week and I don't have time go to any different shop. I know I can buy better in corner shop but I don't have time. But now I think will buying from farmer because some body tell my they sell them product on market at 3am . so will be cheaper and better I hope .

Hope you can wake up early before 3 am to go to the farmer. I am just joking. you must see where you have more advantages, where you can pay cheaper. In the long run it do make differences.

I used to buy everything in the supermarket but a few years ago, I started buying all of my produce at the weekly Farmer's Market that is hosted by the city that I live in. Since we moved to the coast, I buy all of my seafood from a seafood vendor because it is so much fresher. I buy everything else from the supermarket except for toiletry items which are so much cheaper in the discount stores. I'm retired so fortunately, I have the time to do it.

I go grocery shopping at one of the local Walmars around town. It is easier for me and i know where most of the things are so im not lost in the store. I also go to walmart because it is cheaper of course and i believe i am saving money there then going to a grocery store that only sells groceries. There prices on everything are so much higher than walmart. I do go to a local fruit stand and get fresh produce almost every week. I do that because those prices there are cheaper then Walmart and i know im saving there when im getting vegetables and fruit for the week. I like to do grocery shopping and usually me and my mom go together and i might drag my boyfriend out with me sometimes when he needs things.

... and besides it is so convenient because it is well ventilated. never mind the price is a cents higher compared to other market but it's compensating to the athmosphere. The place is so clean that you don't worry from the heat of the sun or get wet from the rain. It is so comfortable to buy in supermarkets.

I like to buy vegetables at the corner shop only, since veggies here in the supermarket are not always good and fresh. In the locality where we stay we get the veggies right from the farm and its organic too. We stay a bit in the suburbs and the neighborhoods are mostly agricultural lands.

i would never buy my groceries at the corner variety store simply because i find the prices to be far too high at a store like that.

You are right. They don't have the purchasing power to buy in bulk so they do not get discount. That is why the prices are high. Only when I have missed something or urgently need something I buy from corner shops.

I enjoy buying groceries in supermarkets for its varieties of items on the racks. If I have enough time, I can always stay long enough to walk between the racks to see what items interest me and I will buy them if I think it is necessary for me. I usually come out of the supermarkets with at least a big bag of items. You are right that sometimes they offer special prices for some certain items and I like it when they have this sales promotion. Have a good day, velentina.

In the village where I live there is only one supermarked, and I go there pretty often, because it is close to my home and it is within walking distanse. It is a little boring to do my grocery shopping there, because I know the shop really well and there are few new things. I prefer to buy groceries in one of the supermarkeds in a nearby town, because there are more supermarkeds to choose from and I don't have to go to same supermarked every time. When I visit different shops I am able to buy different kinds of food and I find that more interesting than buying the same food every time.

I prefer to buy everything in the supermarkets as it is easier for me to take all under one roof and then we do not need to look for somewhere else to buy something we want to. Yeah most of the time we get vouchers here too for mobile, cars, even more groceries in gifts.

I buy groceries where I can be allowed to choose. I do not like pre-packed fruits and prefer choosing. As for vegetables, it is alright to buy them at supermarkets if they are at budget prices. Neighborhood market prices are just beyond our means these days! Chicken, eggs, pork and all manner of meat has shot through the roof!

Grocery shopping is one of my favorite things to do. Supermarkets are great. They usually have everything you need. Smaller markets don't stock as much inventory sso you might not find what you need.

Yes, I agree with you on this point. I would purchase goods from supermarkets, rather than from groceries in that in the supermarkets, there are a good many of the goods,so we can choose what we need. Meanwhile, the purchasing environment is wonderful and attractive to customers. So most of people want to go there shopping. That's my opinion. Have a good time.

i like to purchase goods at the supermarket where i can have them at a cheaper price especially when you have them in dozens than in a corner shop. in the supermarket i can choose from variety of items and they almost have it all in one shopping which i love coz i can still have extra time to do my personal shopping. =)
