Mistletoe is often used to decorate during the Holiday season. I know it is poisonous but am not sure how poisonous and what parts. My Mom always made us wash our hand thoroughly after handling it before we could do anything else.

Since I knew nothing about mistletoe, I looked it up. Instead of being poisoness, the article I read said that historically the twigs and leaves have been used medicinally to alleviate problems from convulsive type ailments such as epilepsy. It did state that young people who eat too many berries can experience convulsions.
I also learned that mistletoe is a parasitic plant that cannot be planted in the ground.

Yep, it grows in the top of trees. Druids used to harvest it with a golden sickle to celebrate Yule in the Old days.
I knew it had some medicinal values, but I was told if prepared incorrectly it is poison.
