Is your glass half empty or half full?

I have always been one of those glass half empty people. I always assume the worst in a situation and I have a hard time appreciating the good things in my life when there are so many things going wrong. Which are you? Do you think it is possible to change from being a glass half full person to a glass half empty?

I always try to be a glass half full type of person but alway turn about being a glass half empty type of person. There are certain things that have crapped out on me in the past so I guess it just comes with the territory plus I figure I stay one of those glass half empty types then when it doesn't follow through and I am let down it doesn't hurt as bad LOL

I am an eternal optimist....so my glass is half full all the time....once someone told me that when something bad happens look for the good in it...for you the car repairs were minor...and you didn't break down on a highway with the kids in the car with you....see there is something good in whatever happens! Maybe try that a bit...just change your way of thinking...you glass will soon fill up!

Just got a $367 child support payment today, start a part time job next week, and I got a call about a full time job that I am interviewing for next week too. Hopefully I get the second one too, so I can work both and catch up on bills. Glass is really filling up today I guess. So I guess TODAY at least I can be glass half full.

It depends on the day honestly.. but 90% of the time I'm a half empty person. I don't like it.. I want to be more optimistic and I try to be, but get me a little stressed or lacking sleep or something and forget about it.. and of course with 5 kids when am I ever not stressed and full rested? LOL

I am a half empty glass. I find myself thinking the worst so that when it is not that bad I am always surprised. It doesn't hurt me so bad when I do it that way. I have not been able to change my glass from half empty to full yet. Happy MyLotting

Funny to come across this post because I was just thinking about this subject this morning. Yes, you can definitely change from a "half empty" to "glass half full" person. When I was young I always saw the down side of things, I always expected everything to go wrong and was actually surprised when things went right.
Then I started working on my thinking over the years. I started thinking about what was right about this or that, rather than what was wrong. I started counting my blessings, etc. My life isn't perfect, far from it, but no one's life is perfect. However, now, because I practiced at it for many years, I expect things to go right and they usually do. Now I tend to see the positive in situations rather than the negative. It takes a lot of work but you can definitely change. I did. It took a long time of just changing my thinking daily and it wasn't easy but it worked eventually. Good luck with this. I wish you well.

The glass can only be half full, never empty. To be half empty you would need water floating on air.

I am a glass half full kind of person, I feel I am positive most of the time, but not all of it. I don't think so positive when I am feeling down, or I'm in pain or a fight is going on.
