Everytime I Visit Here, I Think Most of the Topics Here Are Going To Be Deleted!

This used to be my favorite place of discussion here in MyLot: Make Extra Money.
But after some bad experiences of my responses got deleted and my earnings got deducted because that topic I have responded to a topic that has violated MyLot discussion guidelines, this place went sour to me. It made me explore some greener pasture like discussions about computers, health, music and other better place that you can find good and quality discussions.
Now, every time I come back here, at first glance, your eyes will get irritated by names of companies being promoted, all I can see are discussions started just to promote their income opportunities, or worse, spamming with their affiliate links!
Does this portion of MyLot has degraded too far down the sink?

I am already seven months old here, and have experienced a lot from here. I have met a lot of people, I have learned a lot, and have discovered wonderful opportunities through here.
I admit I joined MyLot primarily to make money. I will not deny, I openly admit it. To those who will reproof me with my motivation, ask any married pastor or minister with a family to support if it is okay with him to work for free, not get paid, and only enjoy managing the church, teaching and learning... Same here in MyLot.
Admit it, we really feel bad when we do not reach MyLot payout because our posts and replies are getting deleted because we accidentally replied to a topic that violated MyLot discussion guidelines. I really feel bad. I really work hard here. I expect to be paid.
Yes, we enjoy the learning and sharing experiences, but you know, the experience of getting paid for the hard work you have done is different. Now, what happen when your expected payment will not come to you because you have many posts deleted because of the mistakes of others?
Some people will reply, "Oh, it's okay with me if my posts are deleted and my earnings got deducted because I am not here for money", Oh come on! Admit it, somewhere deep in your heart you are hurt. For new ones, you will understand what I am saying here as time goes by...

Don't get me wrong. I always reach payout now. But when I was just new here, it took me almost 4 months before i reach payout. Now that I am wiser now in choosing topics to reply and not to reply to, things have changed... Hope you will learn from my experience...

Hi Magtibaygom,
That's pretty much what a good amount of the discussions in that category are. Once in a while I pop into one of them just to let a newbie know that it is against guidelines in an attempt to help them out. I know that when I do that, odds are that it is going to be deleted. I don't spend much time or effort in that section for that reason.

Maybe because I am just a beginner, so I haven't noticed those kind of problems. I enjoy here a lot. I love to read people's story here!
Good luck with you!

Yes you are right. It's hard to find good quality discussion here. Most of new member thought that mylot is place to earn and promote their link. It was happen to me. I thought we are allowed to post link or promote others site here. I think that is natural. New members make some mistakes before know the right things. Even, senior member sometimes slip and make discussion violating the guidelines. Well, we are all in learning process. I don't think this as a big problem.

I suggest that you read the guidelines at
http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx
This shows you what NOT to post, then when you see discussions that fall into these 'don't' catagories, you know not to join in it.
Also look at the tags often you can see there when the discussion has been reported

this could be the interest that gets a lot of discussions deleted but not all the time or not all discussions posted under this interest mostly vanished. you can also find (well, you won't find them anymore) discussions posted in some other interests, like mylot, life, and so on. only because they do not comply with the guidelines. there are good discussions you can find in this interest, plenty of them, and they are worth reading.

Yes, I have also observed that. Compared to other interests, this one gets a lot of discussions deleted. Maybe because the motivation of the people participating in the discussion under this interest are often motivated to make money. When they get online, they forget to check out first the guidelines and are quick to jump in the discussion promoting their own money making opportunities.
Just this morning, I have a newly referred MyLot member, I saw her promote a network marketing website. Instead of responding to her topic by replying and getting my reply deleted the next morning, I just sent her a message orienting her of an alternative, encouraging her to just edit her preferences, and then put in there the URL of the company she's promoting.
I also gave her an advice that the best way to gain referrals here is by attraction marketing. Build your name as a person who can be trusted and can be a good business partner, and then people will come to you and join your opportunity through the link in your profile.

I am normally looking for topics that are varied and different. I like to take part in discussions that have different topics to the ones that I have done before. And I feel that mylot has a lot to offer, the variety is mind boggling. It is only the limited time that stands in the way, otherwise i can go on and on here...One can also keep adding topics which must be happening every day by different members so the choice is endless. When that is so I dont understand why some members stick to one topic only knowing that it is not welcome here and why do we members go ahead and post responses knowing that it might get deleted lol...i have had quite a few responses deleted too..
