Lately I am reading a book called A Good Mom is Better than A Good Teacher. I hope to learn something from it and try to make the less mistakes. Have you also read some books when you bring up your children? Let's share it.

You are correct. Mother is the first teacher. As a teacher mother should also learn and read a lot. I am used to do so. And i used to write about parenting also. if you don't mind have a look my blog in my profile.

I haven't. Yet. Because I don't have kids yet. But when I do, I think I will. I think it is always good to get knowledge from a ton of different sources, and books can be one good source, I am sure. But it depends on what book it is too, I guess...

parents are the first teacher of a child and it is good to know that some parents like you buy books like this. i dont buy any books but i am open with advice, i listen and watch shows on tv and read on the net. i also learn a lot form parents like me here at mylot. i listen and make my own style on how to handle my child. all of us have different ways to take care of our child and every child is different. so i pick up pointers.

Hi, youless I have not read any book about how to bring up children. But I will take note of what you have mentioned. I am five months pregnant now and will probably be reading about being a good parent just to have ideas about bringing up children. Cheers!
