Superheroes Wearing Tights

There was one episode in Smallville where Chloe (the Watchtower) teases Oliver (the Green Arrow) because he is wearing green tights as his Green Arrow uniform and Oliver insists that it is not "tights" but it is "leather" instead. And then a few minutes later, Lois Lane mentioned it again to Oliver (Green Arrow) teasingly.
This got me thinking, most of the superheroes are wearing tights. Maybe the reason they are wearing tights is because it is easier to move around and it is more flexible when they are doing their battle moves.

Clark isn't wearing them yet. As a guy I shouldn't be the one to have to point this out but maybe it is to show off their manly physiques. Of course many of them go flying through the air or swinging through it or just speeding around and it reduces air friction.

yeah that could be it, air friction and of course for the girls to like the superhero..they should look really handsome and with a beautiful body..

I think its because most superheroes are ripped, and they need to show it off, and so in fights it makes it harder to grip them, etc about fighting things.
