When you get sick, would you go to the hospital immediately?

I tend to try not to go to hospital unless its really necessary, most health problems like headaches, colds and skin problems can be dealt with at home with the right creams, tablets and medicine.. or nothing in some cases. I would go to the hospital if it was something more serious though as they are the best people to treat the problem/disease.

Like others said It depends how sick I am If I have only headache, cold. If I had skin problems I sometimes try home methods to make me good felling, but If I have big problems I go to dermatalog, because this is not jokes. Also If I have big sick problems I too go to doctor and ask for pills. In nowadays go to hospital is very expensive also If I need to sleep in It, Oh my It is my mother salary. if it is a mild case of something, what could the hospital possibly do for you? its just a waste of their time and yours. better to wait it out.

Hi, maggiefong. Welcome to myLot! If I am not extremely sick, I will not go to the hospital. I am not losing a lot of blood or having an extreme pain anywhere, I will not go to the hospital. If I am having string pains, I will go to the hospital.

hmm!!! friend every one think that we can recover with in some hours but some people only goes to the hospital for small problems just taking of one tablet it cures.If it not cured with one tablet.We need to take advice from doctor. if it urgent disease no one can wait for that it will cure. definitely goes to the hospital.

I personally don't go to the doctor unless I feel it's absolutely necessary. If I felt that it was an emergency I would definitely go to the doctor or hospital.

I won't do that. Of course, you know by how you feel whether your problem needs self-medication or immediately have to see a doctor. But if it is just a flu and a 40-degree fever, I can help myself shoo away the pain and the fever.

there was never really a time when I felt that i was sick enough to decide on going to the hospital immediately. i am more of a self-doctor lol. so i try to just take ove the counter medicines when I feel sick.

As you said, it depends. Of course, I don't go to the hosptial when I've got a nosebleed. Sadly, there are many people who call for emergency services in such situations...

Not really. When I get sick. I just take some medications. But when the medication doesn't work, then I'll go to the nearest clinic for a check up. It also depend on how sick I am. I'm not really fund of going to the hospital for a check up. they cost a lot of money. so i just go to a clinic instead. It's much cheaper and they give the same treatment.

It would have to depend on what it is. I really hate going to the hospital. I am the type of person to wait until the last minute... Even when I was in labor I didn't get to the hospital until I was ready to have my babies (which the doctors yelled at me for)... =)

If i got sick, then i prefer to look the solution from the home it self. IF its a sever then only i will go to attend the doctor. To avoid doctors, i take a healthy diet with food supplements and do a regular work out. which keeps the doctor away for me. Hence enjoy a Healthy Living :-)

if i just got fever, i just wait for self recovery, but when i got sick for more that 3 days i will go to the doctor.

I won't really go to a hospital immediately, I'd probably self-medicate first. Then I'll ask my parents and siblings who are in the medical profession. Last resort would be the hospital.

it depends actually..if it;s only a fever and cold i will not go and i just check whether there is any medicine in the fridge..if it is fatal than i will go to the clinic immedietly..

depends on the illness. If it's just common fever, i think i only need to take general medicine and take a rest. If it's severe illness surely i go to hospital for treatment. In my country (which is developing country) seeing doctor in clinic is costly, moreover if get treatment at hospital. That is why we try as we can to avoid seeing doctor.

I don't like hospitals. I have a bad memory that my fever went up after admitted in hospital.

"prevetion is better than cure". we have to respond immediately to a problem even it is a headache otherwise it will cause a great defects.
