Well, I am a carnivore type but I really try my best not to eat meat everyday. Since I am in my mid 20s. I have to be careful in my health. I try to eat meat like every other day and balance it with fish with veggie soup on the days where I don't meat.
My father sent me a message that he saw it on the news that most people suffer in high blood due to eating meat a lot. His way also of giving me a warning to lessen my cravings for meat because he knows I am into hamburges, shawarma or any other food which meat is present. I know this for a fact because my mother is a nurse and she herself is also on a watch diet and I am also under her watch. LOL. She even advised me to drink Red Wine since it's to neutralize (i don't know if this is the correct term) my meat intake.
How about you guys? Do you also try to discipline yourself from eating meat everyday?
And if you, I hope you can also share some tips so that out mylotters here can also learn from your diet. Thanks and happy lotting! =)

I do not like meat since childhood. I feel that it's pity to kill the animals and eat their meat. However, it's not practical to have vegetable food everyday, because it's not available everywhere. It's less convenient because most of my friends are not vegetarians.
Therefore, what I can do is try my best to choose my food properly so that there is as many vegetables and fruits as possible. Besides, I am having herbal life breakfast and I can keep my body healthy.
Good luck and have a nice day!

Ya sure, I have accepted your request. I don't see why I can't be friend with you. I have many carnivorous friends actually.
In fact, taking vegetarian food is good for our health in long term. I have read research that, our digestion is more resemble to herbivores. Therefore, eating too much meat will upset our body in long run.
Hope you can take more vegetables. It help to reduce global warming effect too.
Happy posting and happy eating!

I see. There's a term for guys like you who do what you do like not eat meat because of the animals.
I hope you are not selective when it comes to friends because most of us here are carnivores. =) And I hope we could be friends inspite of the differences we have.
Thanks, cheo. I hope you'll accept my friend request. Take care! =)

Now I am very curious. By not eating meat, is it a part of your religion practice or just a family thing for health purposes?
Meat gives protein so maybe your friend is a body buff. I could picture him with his muscles. lol.
Thanks for the response, AJ. Really appreciate it. =)

ya it is religious thing plus....my just parents cares for me a lot so they think i wont be able to digest meat daily......
it has a lot of heat so everyone cant digest it daily......so now i am eating 5 eggs daily and non veg once per week...but not at home.....i am eating it outdoor.......so what about u...boiled egg contains 3 percent protein in his white yolk more than anything else even meat also....so eat only the white portion leave the yellow one because it contains a lot heat and cholesterol .....dont eat yellow one because u will get fat and heart patient very soon....
happy mylotting

Well I’m an omnivore too and love my meat but I certainly don’t take meat everyday. We are more into fish and eggs, meat for us is for Sunday dinner or lunch. Other than that, on weekdays I don’t snack too much and even if I do, its mainly veggies…so I guess my meat intake in well within limits.

Just like a cheat day. That's a good thought actually to put yourself in to a limit and allow just one day of your week as meat day. I like that.

Yes, yes. I get what you mean. Like when we we are so stuffed with meat as our food, I feel like your body is so heavy and you can't function well. =)But with fish or vegetables, we are full yet our body is very light and we feel free. =)

We seldom eat meat. We used to prepare meat everytime there are occassions in our house...We are trained by our parents to eat fish and vegetable for healthy living. Their usual saying, "Eat fish for the brain" and "Eat vegetable to be strong".

I eat eggs everyday but meat once in a week. Eating meat everyday is not good I feel. It's a personal opinion as you eat it everyday, that's good. Eating meat according to your lifestyle is a simplistic way of keeping healthy. No you don't have to eat it every day...for vegetarians - Get a carrot, cut it into nine pieces, and each piece then represents the amount of meat you could eat every day to have your diet match that of a chimp. You know eating red meat increases the chances of dying prematurely, according to the first large study to examine whether regularly eating beef or pork increases mortality.

I think there is nothing wrong being one. I think we just have to really watch what we eat and control any urge to overeat this things. Anything that ie byond our normal capacity will be detrimental to our health. So I guess you can be a carnivore but them we should limit it to the point that it won't harm our body in the long run.

i too am limiting my intake of meat. this is because i react to animal products; i get flare-ups (inflammations in my hands, feet, etc). i've come to this conclusion after watching my food intake for several years. i systematically eliminated specific foods from my diet then i would bring it back. different animal products affect me to different degrees. for example, if i eat beef i will develop the flare-up much faster than if i eat chicken. i can eat more dairy products (like cheese) than pork before i get the flare-up. so just to minimize these incidents i am limiting my intake of all animal products. now i eat more fruits and veggies.

I'm just enjoying eating meat for now in my younger days. But i am planning to stop my craving for meat, if i am going to reach the age of 40. Maybe its about time for me to be careful with my diet as well as my health. According to the sayings "life begins at forty" God bless!! MtLotters..

I may not eat meat everyday, but it has become a staple diet in our family. We have it at least 3-4 times a week. I think there's no problem with eating meat, because it's the best source of protein.
I think anything in excess be it lack or too much of, is bad for your health.

yes i am a meat lover but i also balance the food that i am eating. like this week if i had eaten so much meat i then detoxify my body by eating fish and vegetable. too much of everything is harmful. meat has so much protein that it can destroy our kidney if taken much excess.

Eating meat is good for health, but eating of meat everyday is not good for health.
daily meat does nlt keep the body fit. the must be a rapid variations in the daily foods we intake.
