It is the perfect Heroes to Zeroes story. Italy from being World Champions are now condemned to the last spot in their group!! They are heading home while Paraguay and Slovakia head to the next round. Needing a win to progress Italy crashed to a 2-3 loss to Slovakia!! Cheers! Ram

I think it's quite remarkable that the Finalists from World Cup 2006 have both failed to make the knockout stages in South Africa. France and Italy should be contenders with the teams they have but this World Cup has already produced some very surprising results.

They look the same way they did last year in South Africa for the Confederations Cup. They are there due to them being defending champions but they seem to have no interest in even being there. To all these mega teams that think they are the best and out already I say thank you! I feel bad for South Africa being included in this bunch of losers.
