Hi to all mylotters, I'm just wondering if where I can sell all my used books. I have a lot of books that I used before from Central Texas College. Any ideas guys? Thank you in advance:)

I would keep the good ones, which are popular and interesting and would make own library, used only by me for now. In future, would sell them for good price, because there are people who collect old publications. In my country it's no so popular hobby, 90% of the people use internet for receiving info and for reading books. May be because it's cheaper, i don't know. For me one real book with lists and ink is much better than online reading. I really enjoy reading real books, the smell of the ink is just part of all my pleasure.

I would go for Ebay if I were you probably. Or you can do what I did: I went to my old university because I knew that the students the next year would need the same books again, and put a note on a notice board that students were allowed to use, saying that I was selling these books. Quite a lot of people called, and I got almost all my money back! (but if that works for you depends on your old college I guess... Maybe there is a Facebook group or something you could post in though? Just a thought!)

I have had no luck at all selling used books online. However, I do fairly well selling them to local, privately owned bookstores. I generally get $1 for hardcover books and $0.50 for softcover. So, I pick them up at yard sales for a dime or a quarter and turn a decent profit. My biggest problem is being a book collector, so it's hard for me to part with a lot of the books I find at yard sales! And I would never part with a book I've read!

Half.com you can sell used text books, and there's always ebay. I think they maybe the same company? I know most pepole are money site oriented on mylot so if you are using those sites you can get cash back from using Ebates and Bigcrumbs while shopping. hope that helps.
