I am commenting after the match, so know the result. Spain went on to beat Chile 2-1 thanks to goals from David Villa and Iniesta. The match started with Spain a bit jittery against a marauding Chile. But then the Chilean goalkeeper Bravo made a mistake and Villa made him pay in style. Then Spanish then scored a sublime goal via Iniesta and Chilean defender was sent off in the build up to that goal. After the break Chile hit back with a goal, but the contest was well and truly over after the send off. I do not think the Red card was the right decision as there was minimal contact and Torres made a meal of it!!
Cheers!

Spain can reach the final but they'll lose it. 2nd or 3rd place - that's my prediction for their qualifying in the World Cup this year.

I've honestly been more impressed by Chile's play than with Spain's so far. Maybe Spain will be able to lift their game when it matters, but the Italian and French experiences show that this isn't so easy to do! On paper, Spain were one of the big favorites entering the tournament and they still have amazing players. They could still win...but they will need to earn it against a very good team.

I am desapointed with Spain after the first game, i think they will pass the group stage, but it is not this year they will become World Champion.

yes. that is exactly what am i thinking of.spain will make a historical comeback after torres get on his nerve again. I would love to see torres scoring hattrick more than anyone else.
