Do you have any interest in philosophy?
I'm in my first year of college, and I decided to take Philosophy (101) over the summer. I expected it to be a bit of work, and it is. It exhausts my brain!
There's never really a "right" answer to what the teacher asks of us; this is a plus because, if you try, you'll probably do well but also a minus because you can't really wing it.
I'm not really enjoying the Plato-and-Socrates type philosophy, but I am very interested in Existentialism/Sartre and Albert Camus' stuff- it's kind of dark and unusual, but I myself am quite strange and unusual. LOL.

If you are looking to dabble in philosophy for personal growth, I strongly advise doing so. The classes are quite fun and allow for a lot of free thought. Although fun, do not let that entirely suck you in to pursuing a philosophy degree. Understand that if you have future goals that require an above average income, philosophy may not be the best choice. Speaking as an individual with a philosophy/religion degree, it has been somewhat frustrating to find a decent career with a decent income. It's definitely worth your time to dabble in though, or even possibly a minor.

I study one year in high school. I remember that first time it seems difficult to learn.

I started studying online in January this year and in the beginning I had chosen a lot of different subjects. Philosophy was one of those subjects and I found it challenging but interesting. In beginning we learned about Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. I found it pretty interesting, but just like you I was more interested in existentialism than Socrates etc, and I was looking forward to learning more about Sartre and existentialism, but I never got that far. I had chosen too many subjects and I had to give up some of them, because I didn't have enough time. I decided to focus on psychology and give up philosophy and religion.

I've never learned about philosophy. I wonder though of why people learns others' philosophies? To quote it in an intellect conversation? To apply the philosophies in their practical life? For me a philosophy is a believe on how we want to live our life. Isn't it better if we find our own philosophy because for sure it will fit well with ourselves?
Just a thought!
