I had just resigned from my job recently because they offer me to another post in which I had to spend more time outstation. Even with my previous post I rarely be back home early (earliest 8pm), spending my time on the road with traffic jams etc, I just cant imagine spending my remaining precious time away from my family ie wife and kids.
Without hesitation I decided to resign and spend more time with the kids at home while doing outsource jobs from my computer. What a feeling seeing them enjoying my existence at home during the day rather than at nights previously.
But income by working from home currently not as much as my previous salary. Thats the sacrifice I made for the family... but determine to give extra financial security working from home... The nicest thing is that they accepted my decision with open hearts. Thats the satisfaction I got.
Now I'm trying to find extra money from the internet which I'm sure I can in this near future. Wish me luck guys! Please share your experience if you had one.

hi there, well it seems that you you made the right decision in your case, family comes first, spending more time with them is worthy, I my self experienced that i had my first child and im working as well, im having hard time adjusting to my new lifestyle, waking up in the middle of the night changing diapers and feeding the baby and wakes up at around 4:30 am for work in the hospital. i stop working for 2 months and stayed at home. I have spent more time with my baby..my husband was the only one working, we dont have enough money but im still happy because i got a lot of time taking care of my baby and preparing food for my husband

Hi butterline. Your case in a bit different than mind in term of who's working fulltime. For me now, my wife is the one working in the office while I'm doing it home after I resigned. Yeah being happy with life is the most important thing. Money is not everything...though a lot of it do helps. ;-) Good luck to you and happy mylotting!

Actually I just resigned from work also to be a full time home maker, but sometimes I feel some regret because of our growing expenses. My husband works abroad but he still have to pay some rent and any expenses to live there. Right now I am on the process of experimenting legitimate sites online. Actually I have found 3 yet, one is mylot of course, microworkers and Triond. So far those are the sites that I know I can depend on.

We are on the same boat denzlangga. :-) Thanks for sharing. Yeah sometimes (just a bit) I regretted my decision but deep inside I told myself...I'm doing this for the betterment of my family. The only way I do this is to work hard without your boss breathing on your neck, doing the work that you don't like, meeting a lot of weird people with weird decisions etc. Now we are our own boss, the harder the effort, more fruitfull it will be. Good luck to you too! Happy mylotting!

I also experienced sacrificing my job for my family because when I got my job I already have my first baby and my husband is also working full time. I want to help my husband in our financial needs that time but I realized that while i'm working i'm not sure if my baby is taking really good care by other people and my husband always go home without any ready to eat meal at home because he came earlier than me from work. I feel that i'm needed more at home so I resigned in my job and work with my computer at home and I started a small business at home. Mini snack store, with this business I can help in financial needs and at the same time taking good care of our family members.
