with a big stain on your clothes? i was in a rush before work, pulled out a little white jacket to wear to work with my capris (it was sort of chilly here this morning!) and went to the bathroom halfway through the morning, only to discover i had a big stain on my jacket! Of course, i didnt check it out before i left the house. has this ever happened to you? what did you do?

Possibly.
I'm sure I have but I try to always remove stains from my clothing and if that's not possible I tend not to wear them for best. I safe them for doing gardening, work around the house and things like that. It's very annoying when you can't remove them from your clothing, the amount of shirts I've that's been damaged due to this. I'm more careful with my favourite one's and most can easily be replaced so it's not much of a major issue for me.

The stains on my clothes never tend to stand out much because most of my clothing is dark colored and that's a big reason why! I just cannot wear nice white clothes because I know I will get some stain or spill something on them! I have white t shirts but I tend to where those when I'm doing something intentionally dirty like cleaning so if I get it dirty it doesn't bother me because I tend to be in the house when I wear my white t shirts and not out where people can see my dirty shirts haha.

Most stains can be fixed or at least made to look "not so bad." If not, you may be able to explain it away. I once went out with one black shoe and one dark blue shoe on. They were the same style and I just stepped into them in the closet. Now that is embarassing.

I have done that in the past. Had a little coffee stain on a white, sporty shirt. Used a stain stick on it and promptly washed it. Didn't notice the stain didn't totally come out until I got out in the sun and in my car. Was too late to go back inside and change since I needed to get to work. Then I found myself making excuses for the stain. I worked, at the time, in a snackbar at a golf course so the coffee stain could have been from my making coffee. Nobody knew but me.

This has happened once or twice to me, nothing worse, just spoils your whole day. You are always thinking people are staring at the mark on your clothes.
If it's on a jacket then I would take the jacket off and carry it, no matter how cold it was, 'no I'm fine, just alittle warm' (lies).
Obviously there are only certain items of clothing that you can do that with.
My favourite, if I am running late and have not got an ironed shirt is to put a jumper / sweater on, 'no I'm fine, just alittle cold' (lies).

Yes I have!! I think everyone has once in their life, and if they haven't yet, their time will come!! Hahahaha.. I was planning on spending the night at a friends house for the weekend. I was in a hurry because my friend was in the car waiting and she is very impatient.. the next day she pointed pointed out that my shirt had a bleach spot on it!! Luckily she was the only one that saw it, so I ended up changing in one of her shirts!!
