Are you afraid or you are brave enough of working alone especially at night in the office?
Have you also experience working over night alone?

for almost ten years, until two years ago, i was working very late in front the computer. i worked as a computer technician, programmer and encoder all in one. i stayed in the office after all the other workers are finished with their tasks. i will be left alone to encode all the details of their work, the information in the manifests. that was a courier company with international destinations.

So meaning to say that is really your schedule? Or is that overtime?

Hi Metatronik
I have experienced in working over night alone both in the office and from home, especially when I take the 2nd shift from 3:00 to 12:00.
When the workload is heavy and schedule is urgent,I always need to OT till morning.
It is boring. I hate to OT like that.During the night ,no others can support you when you encounter any difficulty. And after the night, you would feel exhausted.

I've experienced that too especially for being hungry. I mean of course at times I have no enough money to buy for my own food and the difficult is there is no near convenience store in the office.

Yes I have worked overtime alone in a huge office many times. Because of my work load and deadlines I have no choice. Late nights and even on Sundays and Public Holidays. My office is located on the 3rd floor. Is 4-storey high. We had a watchman sitting on the ground floor at the reception area after office hour. There is only one entrance. Is an old building. I concentrate on my work and never think of other things. I was eighteen then....LOL

But how sure are you that it was safe? What is your work by the way?

Well I'm a student and not working. So i have never experienced it. But I know it really sucks. I just wish I'd never face it.

It depends on the field that you are working. If you are graphic artist for example you will be experiencing that but it depends on the company.

I agree on that. Good thing I've worked in a safe place before that is almost near in highway and yet accessible to the Metro Rail Transit.

I have experience like that too. However, the more you think about it , the more you are afraid .
So what i suggest is , try to think of something else or just focus on your work ! Why think so much ?

I've never been alone at night in the office, but I see no problem with that. I even think it would be interesting, I would have more freedom to work without pressure from the boss. I think if we see this situation for a positive side,it can be an interesting experience.

I've experienced it already actually it is kinda so boring. But yes! I can work with concentration, but then of course with the supervision of my boss by calling at the office or sending each other chat messenger.
