Why users need to hide their age in their profile? ;)

I don't mind the lack of age information as much as I do the lack of gender, sometimes it's hard to answer discussions if you don't know if you are speaking to a man or a woman.

I keep my private because of security reasons. I know age is just how long you have lived on Earth, but I really don't care how old you are (unless you are under 18) as long as you are respectful to others, especially on here when you respond.

I think they considered a private information. Personally, I put my age in all my profiles.

I think some members just want to keep those kind of things private but not me. I displayed my age in my profile in almost all the sites that I'm registered to because I think there's no reason for me to hide it because it is just not that private for me. Happy mylotting =)

As for my case, I sometimes do that for security reasons... don't want to give all the exact data... not unless of course i am expecting some payouts. Otherwise, I guess, some hide their age because they feel that matters when they are into social networking. And maybe some are underaged! :)
