I have this life changing experience after I read Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad.. Its actually an autobiography of the author who had two dads, his real dad who's a learned immigrant who excelled academically been in the highest positions in the academe but fails to meet the bills, worked hard all his life and retired miserably. His other dad (His friend's dad), who didn't finish schooling, got really street smart, owned a business enterprise that earned money way beyond any employment jobs. He has absolute time freedom and financial freedom all at the same time. He has semi-retired at a younger age...
after I read the book, my wife quit her day job and I followed a year after... up to now we still feel that quitting our day job was the best decision we ever had... between that time to now is history... grab this book and change your life for the better.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the book. I'll try to see if I can grab a copy of it. As for me, YES. There's a book that really changed my perspective in life.. just a perspective because I just recently read about it a few months ago and I'm still sinking it in my system. It is the "Purpose driven life" by Rick Warren. It is about knowing your life's purpose with the direction that will lead you into a realization that all starts with God. and that we can only realize our purpose if we embrace God's presence in our lives.
Kudos for a better life! Best of luck to you and your wife. =)

I bet if you read both books, Rich Dad Poor Dad and Purpose Driven Life, you will have a clear of what direction in life you would want to go. Rich Dad Poor Dad will put you on the right track financially, and Purpose Driven Life will remind you of your higher purpose in Life which is in accordance to God's will. Good combination.

In religious terms, the book that changed me is really the Bible no doubt. But when it comes to literary works, i would say that the book written by an internationally acclaimed leadership guru Robin Sharma titled Who will cry when you die? changed my perspective in life at least. Technically speaking books are not written to change our lives but our perspective in/about life.

well this may be a cliche, but TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE really changed my perception about LIFE - and the sorts of it. This book was authored by Mitch Albom. The book really offers a lot of "crash courses" in life. It made me look up more to my dad which I think made me even a better person. I could have sworn this book is one of the BEST! :)

Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad... i have learned a lot from his book. the way i perceive things in real life changes from poor mind set to rich mind set....this book is showing us how to get out of the rat race and jump to fast track in life..

I have lots of books in my personal library so having read any one book would not have had that much impact in my life. Since each book is by nature focused on a very narrow point of view, any one book is just a piece of a larger jigsaw puzzle unless, of course, it's the last piece.
But writing a book may be a life changing moment esp. your first book.

I've read the Book 3 years ago,i may have used some of the lessons from Mr.kiyosaki and its Good,I've read also Books of Failures and i like most is the Book of Success of Napoleon Hill and dale Carnegie and books of Og mandino..there are so many Books that inspire us,from Financial success,But to me the Best Book is the Bible..In there is almost all the Problems of the world, from Financial, moral, emotional,Physical, failures and Successes, and most of all spiritual..If one really understand the content of the Bible and APPLIES it, then the true Success of life is given...

Rich Dad and Poor Dad is indeed a life changing book! It did a lot of good to me. And quite interesting that in our country, a lot of entrepreneural authors have adopted Kiyosaki's chool of thought.
But how a book can affect you probably would depend on how open you are at the time of reading.

Yes! It is "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne. It such a great book. It is one of a kind. I have finished reading it and it was a great achievement for me. Because I never experienced reading a book and finished it, because I am not a reader at all. That was the only book I have read and never regreted putting so much time on it reading. I cannot read a book for a day or a week. I think I finished reading it for almost 2months. :) But anyways that book was about law of attraction. That what ever you have in your life right now, whatever you experience right now is because of what you were thinking. I love the line "Thoughts become things." And yes indeed it is true. I always thought of becoming a Registered Nurse someday and Yes I am right now. And I am so happy about it and I always Thank everyone everyday of my life of whatever I am right now.
