I've had more of these than I've ever had hot dinners.
Quite often I've being aware of kicking my duvet in my sleep or having a conversation with goodness knows who, but all the time I know that I am dreaming, so am partially conscious.
Yes, they can be fun but sometimes they can really tire you out the next day as you feel like you haven't had enough sleep, but this only applies to those who have disturbed dreams, not pleasant ones.

I've had a good number of them. I've even gone looking to induce them by means of dream journaling and the wake back-to-bed method. If you've done a bit of research on lucid dreams, you've probably heard of all these things already. I've had a few wake-induced lucid dreams, which is basically just going straight from wakefulness into a dream and keeping your conscious mind awake while falling asleep. Which is a WEIRD experience, by the way. When I am aware that I'm falling asleep there's all kinds of strange pictures flashing in front of my eyes, a loud buzzing in my head, and strange and familiar sounds. The dream scene then stabilizes. It's crazy bizarre. And fun!
I've always enjoyed dream journaling and telling other people my dreams, and I'm really interested in dream science. Not because I think dreams have symbols or meanings, but because I'm a creative person and I enjoy the amazing scenarios my brain often comes up with. I'm not very good at lucid dreaming. I can realize I'm dreaming, but controlling the dream is very hard for me. In fact, I think my brain doesn't want me in control because it usually sends some evil army of doom after me the instant I realize I'm dreaming.

I can control my dreams some of the time, but I'm not very good at it and I have a nagging suspicion that my brain doesn't want me in control. I've managed to get to certain places (A nice beach, a pretty forest... etc.) but it was after wandering around the dream world opening random doors and flying across random landscapes. (I've been able to start flying pretty easily in lucid dreams.) But when I'm trying to turn the tide of a nightmare or get certain things to appear or happen... it usually doesn't work out well. For example, when I got into that pretty forest I was attacked by an army of dwarves in little red hats and the nice beach was home to a bunch of cannibals. Stuff like that.
