i usually observe my co workers and the people around me specially those who have a higher levels and positions in their respective work and therefore i have notice that most of them are arrogant and with so much of pride. lately, humility is almost nowhere to be seen as if the virtue of patience and being humble was long forgotten. I now start to wonder why this is so. Does financial stability justify arrogance and pride? or it lift up ones self trust so much that mostly think themselves superior from the other? Does making one's self humble would hurt his/her pride that much?

The arrogance among superiors may not always be their natural self... sometimes they intentionally build a strict and stiff facade to prevent familiarity with the rank and file.. this may be essential in Human resource management especially in Filipino culture.

yeah i kinda agree, but somehow was wondering why is there a need of shouting or yelling to their fellow worker with rank lower to them if irritated on something even when there are others who can surely hear them. Aren't they sensitive enough to their fellow's feelings?

People who are proud and arrogant did not become what they are now in an overnight. What they are is a result of their life experiences esp. when they were child hood. In general, how a child is brought up, has a great bearing on how the child will become in the future. Child raised with so much confidence would appear proud and arrogant to some people. Though that person himself wouldn't characterize himself that way. Self-made persons has the tendency to be proud and arrogant probably becuase of a high degree of accomplishment. On the other hand, how arrogant or proud a person is, is most often just a matter of perception. What matters is that you would know how to deal with them.
