Herro loniu
I have only found one diet that works. It is headed by disciplie and eating the right foods in right quantities.
There is no more effective answer.

I agree. Diets can make you crash or even make you crave those naughty foods :) I think if you incorporate regular exercise you can at least maintain your weight, and depending on what type of exercise, tone, build muscle. I think it depends on your body. Some people can try in vain and never be what they want. But if they are Healthy, then i think you have won:)

Goodluck in your endeavor, hope you get your desired weight. As for me, I am also struggling to gain weight I don't have much appetite and I lose 5 lbs last month and I also feel I am losing weight this month as well. I have tried taking on vitamins as what my Doctor prescribed me but I don't see any results though.

Your one of the rare few. :) I had an ex-roommate (was a guy), and was constantly trying to gain weight. He would work out at the gym, drink protein shake and such. He was 6'4 and lanky. He normally would weigh around 18olb or so. He worked out bought a boflex did protein shakes etc. The highest he ever reached was 200lbs and that was a lot of work! He eat would eat at least 3000 calories a day. If he stopped for 2 weeks he would lose it all. Gee poor thing! I would be running everyday eating right only to maintain my weight!
Being healthy i think is more important than gaining or losing weight.People come in all shapes and sizes and what your body is happy at it will be.:)

perhaps my problem is reverse with yours, its hard for me to gain weigh even if i already consult a lot of doctor, all of them they said theres no problem with it since im still within the normal bracket with my height and weight but im too tired being look like a skinny, though they said im not skinny but i look sexy. perhaps i just got tired being thin since i was teen as i really wish to gain weigh and add some little fat. doctor said my metabolism is fast as i also went to toilet twice a day so theres a tendency that the food i take didnt last that long in my body for vitamins absorption as its immediately go to the toilet for extraction.
my cousin was also big and she become more sexier than me, she only take juice in the morning and only eat during lunch then few in the dinner. she took a lot of juice than food to full her stomach. she only see to eat that she only eat 1 cup per meal and a lot of juice or water.
