I personally find the book very powerful and moving, but the movie was equally compelling and very intense too. I would like to know what you would have to say about the same. It is one of the few movies that has stayed true to the book.
Mario Puzo is certainly one of my favourite authors, and Coppola one my all-time favourite Directors. I am in no position to take a stand as far as this is concerned, but if you should find yourself able to,please do come up your opinions here. I would be most interested in knowing!

hello,
I must say that this is one movie which is as good as the book. BOth of them are epic. The book is great. MArio Puzo has written one hell of a book but francis ford copolla as made an equally intesting and good movie with all the great cast in it. All the characters in the movie are so real and brilliant that you will just love them. SPecially Marlon Brando as Don Vito Corleone was epic. He gave his best performance of career. Al pacinotoo was mind blowing and rest of the cast were also superb. I dont anybody can choose between the book and the movie.

I would have to say, the movie. I love reading but for some reason i didn't like that book too much, i prefer the movie.
