If you had to choose 2 movies to watch over again for ever more, which 2 would you pick and why?
I think mine would have to be Dirty Dancing, because it has song, dance and the love story. Then I think the other would have to be Chitty Chitty bang bang because I am a sucker for a musical and it really takes me back to my childhood, I love it.

Wether you picked it up from the beginning or years down the line, they are great films and the books are even better, it is a shame you don't get the added spectacle it is a sight to see. I have only just picked up the 'Twilight' bug, so a lot to catch up on. Do you read much? I am a huge book fan. If you do find a film you like, more often than not it started with a book and they tend to hold more detail.

I am an addict of Harry Potter also lol, one cannot deny! I did also stand in line at midnight, twice, for book releases. I took my children too, I thought it be a sight they may never get to witness again with the release of a book and I felt they needed to see that books still have appreciation from some and that they are important. Great choices xxx

mine first would have to be lonesome dove. Its 8 hours long so I could break it up a little. good cast, great story all around really good movie. the only thing that makes it one I don't watch alot, would be the length. My second would be the goonies. It's classic, cindi lauper with a dash of 80's humor.... good stuff.

I have never watched Lonesome Dove so know nothing about it. What is it about? The Goonies, Fantastic film, love it, I remeber the first time I watched it and then the first time my children did, it is one of their favourites now too, great choice xx

Lonsome dove was about some guys in texas in the early 1900's who wanted to move north and take a bunch of cattle with them. I know it sounds boring but there were alot of characters and they all had their on stories going on. If you can get a copy it's worth a watch.

My favorite movies are "My Cousin Vinny" and "Kissing Jessica Stein". I do watch those two movies all the time since I do longer have cable TV. I night also choose Transformers. Either way I would want something with a lot of special features as that has lots more entertainment value.

Fight Club and The Matrix. Those are my favorite movies and they are always fun no matter how many times you see them. They even get better with every viewing. Just saw Fight Club again a few days ago and noticed some little things I didn't notice before.

I do like Fight Club, it had a better success once released to DVD than at the cinema. The Matrix is a good one two, though from a womans perspective, it helps that Keanu Reeves is in it lol x

I would have to say A Walk to Remember and Walk The Line.
I love both of these movies and I could watch them over and over again and never be bored with them!

I have not watched either of these movies. I have read the summary on IMDb for A Walk to Remember though and it seems like a film I would watch, so i will have to keep an eye out for it. xx

Lord of The Rings would be the first. We watch the uncut 12 DVD set over the Christmas period every year (I mean, how many times can you watch Mary Poppins and so forth in one lifetime?) which works out at around 48 hours viewing.
The next would be Cross of Iron starring James Coburn, a very gritty war film from a German perspective in WWII Russia. Not a film that my partner would enjoy though.

I never really got into Lord of the Rings. I have watched them all and I did find them ok though they are not a films I would buy or have to watch if they came on the tv. xx

Hi. I grew up reading the Lord of the Rings books, and as a result always hoped for a film when I was younger. So these really were a bit of a lifetime treat. The cinema versions are about 20% shorter than the DVDs.
We all like different things- it's what makes us interesting, so thanks for the comment. Out of interest, have you a particular film genre?

It's impossible to pick just two but I will anyway. The first one would be TITANIC because I still believe it is the best movie I've ever seen. It is the only movie that helped create, for me, an interest in reading about history. The second pick is actually a miniseries but I would have to choose it because of my love of learning about World War II...BAND OF BROTHERS. It is the best war movie/miniseries I've seen.

I have watched the Band of Brothers series and have to agree that they are very well produced and very interesting to watch. My little boy likes to watch alot of war related movies and doc's these are one of his fave's xx

The two movies I would pick is THE SOUND OF MUSIC because this was the first movie I saw in the theatre and I loved it. Every time its on TV I will sit and watch it. The other movie would have to be PRETTY WOMAN, again because I just love the movie and especially Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. The chemistry between them is magical.

Pretty woman is one of the ultimate greats in my opinion and who can't help themselves from singing along to the songs in Sound of Music. Xx

One movie I could watch over and over again is Speed. Such action and suspense and Keanu Reeves is definitely easy on the eyes! In fact, I just watched Speed last night. Another movie I like to watch is Scream. I never get tired of watching this Wes Craven classic.

This undoubtebly is a difficult question to answer. Probably, I'd choose an action and comedy movie, I think that Pirates of the caribbean. And another would be a romantic comedy, in which case my doubts are even greater, But I think I'd choose Kate and Leopold.

I have to admit, Pirates of the Caribbean has been on the tv a number of times but I have never actually watched it, my kids love it though. And again, never heard of Kate and Leopold so IMDb'd it, Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman, anothe rfilm on the 'to watch' list I think lol.

I think that my first favorite movie of all time is Grease with Oliva Newton John and John Travolta. I have loved this movie since I was a little girl, and at one time I had the entire movie memorized from top to bottom. Love the singing and the dancing, and have a very big passion of tap dancing, so I love any movie that has dancing in it. My second favorite movie would have to be The King and I. I love the dancing in it, and the songs. It's a very intriguing movie, and I have loved it since the first time I saw it years ago with my mom.

They are both very good movies. I have to watch Grease whenever it comes on the tele. I really love musicals, I find it hard to contain myself when the singing starts lol.

I think mine would have to be Grease. It's been my favorite movie since I was a little girl, and I love the songs in it and the dancing, and what can I say John Travolta was very hot in it, and he's my favorite actor. My other favorite movie would have to be The King and I because I love musicals, and it tells a great story and tap dancing is one of my biggest passions, and so any movie with dancing in it, I absolutely love.

The two movies that are high on my list of favorites are the Interview with the vampire and Meet Joe Black. It has something to do with the plot of the movies that i love to watch it. It is not that i am into horror movies because i don't watch the Twilight saga.

My choice would be (1 )Rush Hour because of the great tandem of Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker and The Mummy because of the adventure.

I don't mind watching Jakie Chan but he's not someone at the top of my list, though Chris Tucker is a very funny man and I've often found myself with aching ribs watching him. The Mummy was a good film too x
