Is Biochemistry Hard?

United States

I'm registered for biochem in the fall, and I'm wondering if it's a hard class. Has anyone taken the class before? What is the class about? My minor is in chemistry and I can either take biochem or quantitative analysis to complete my minor. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?

well if you love what you do then anything is possible. But quantitative is much easier than biochem. biochem will need some of your analytical skills.

that is what I TRIED to explain. if you take something which is easy.. you would get good scores, but, if you take something that you love... you will make it very high in your career. just trying to add ...

Thanks! I'm taking organic chemistry right now. I only have one more exam to take and I'm making a high A. Many people told me that it would be hard and near impossible to make an A, but I'm doing it now. I was just trying to get a feel and see how biochemistry would be. I'm trying to figure out my schedule for the fall and I was wondering if I should cut back on some hours since I'm taking biochem. I'm registered for 18 right now.

no subject... either discovered or invented by MAN or GOD.. is ever tough to learn .. so... NO. Biochemistry is not HARD. ALL one needs is Immense interest in the subject. For your imagination.. let me quote. HITLER was also a PAINTER/Artist. But, he became a dictator.. and, moved armies. If only he was to choose between PAINTING and MILITARY TRAINING... he would not have been so famous./infamous. there is something that you can rely on. That is.. if you are creative, and want to go ahead in your studies... choose that subject which you love to BOAST about, EVEN in a BAR. don't ever try to choose an easiest subject. goodluck
