Small Guard Pick First in this year NBA Draft

From last year to this years NBA Draft, guards were pick first than big man. Last year it was Derick Rose and this year it is John Wall. I assume that next year and many years to come, small guards will be pick first than other player. Did any of this teams in the NBA realized that guards will surely make a big impact on the team?

I think the guard position in a basketball team is very crucial and important. For one, guards particularly the point guard has the job to handle the ball, find shots for their team.mates as well as ability to make their own. Rajon Rondo has showed us how important a point guard is because of how he handles and starts the offense whether to shot the ball by himself or find available team.mates and receive an assist for it. Since NBA teams have started drafting point guards as early on the draft as possible, it just goes to show that they realized how much value it has for a team to be able to win more games, reach the playoffs and maybe even get a better shot at winning a championship.

Yes, you are right, point guard plays a vital role in every team. Aside from Rondo, Derick Rose is also one of this guards that helped the Bulls make it to the playoffs. Also, point guards can dictate the flow of the game.
