I was sitting around the house thinking oh my goodness it is already June. This year is moving so fast. I am no longer working my seasonal job so I am planning to start making some Christmas gifts so I can get an early start, and not be so last minute around the holidays.

I have made my sister's, my niece's, my uncle's and my brother's girlfriend's shirts already. I have also picked up and put away shirts for my brother and my roommate's nephew. I want to stitch a shirt for my mom and have picked out the pattern and have got all but 2 of the flosses purchased, and have put them together with the waste canvas so that when I get the shirt I can start stitching on it. I want to make a card for the roommate's mom for Christmas that will say something about taking her shopping as my gift to her. So, I would say I'm almost all done, at least with the gifts I HAVE to have.

if you saw my work space you wouldn't say that! However, I wanted to have shirts done for Christmas, I got a gift card to a place I NEVER shop at so I got three of the shirts right after Christmas, so I could start on them. When my sister was down at the end of March, I was ready for a couple of more shirts, so we went shopping and got them! I finished those and my client got a shirt in the mail she couldn't use, and I'm going to give that to the roomie's nephew... So, part of the head start was because I had a gift from them I couldn't use for myself, so I used it! Hey, that was money I didn't have to spend out right on gifts later!

Haven't done much this year yet but for several years I worked on Christmas crafts all year long. It was a way to stay on top of gift making well in advance.

Yes, you are right when you make stuff all year long. I plan on settling down and working on my crafts since I am no longer working full time.

I haven't started, but I did begin thinking about the fact that I should be working on something. I have all these sewing projects, and I haven't used my machine in months. It's nice to have gifts pre-made instead of getting into that time crunch. What are you making? What types of crafts do you like to do? I really want to try making something with mosaic tiles, but I have never tried before. Sewing is the main thing I do.

I love to crochet so I am making slippers. My family loves my slippers. I am making beaded jewelry as well. I have a sewing machine also that I have not use in over 1 year. As soon as I can afford to fix the air conditioner, I will used it and make some tote bags.

One thing that seems popular these days are tote bags to carry groceries home. Everyone is going green (a good thing) and wasting less plastic. My sister does beaded jewelry. I wish I knew how to do this. I keep asking her to teach me but she is so busy.

You know, I was going to make a tote for me, and never got around to it. It's a good idea for my friends who shops at Aldi especially.

I have started. I am going to make cross stitch bookmarks for the Professors that teach in my department. But I have also been sidetracked by a couple of wedding samplers that I have to do. Hopefully I will be able to get them all done by Christmas. Its imperative that get quite a few of them done in the summer since that is my time off and I am always so busy during the semester.

I am hoping to start next month. I am hoping to paint my wind chimes and sell those. I am also looking for small wooden jewelry boxes so I can put tiles on them. I am also looking into buying some fruits and making my own jellies to sell online, but I am not sure if I would need a license to sell food.

Yes, I crochet so that comes in pretty handy for many different occasions.

I crochet as well, and have a lot of hats. My family are not into hats since we live in the South, and not very cold. Several family members requested slippers so I will two pairs each for everyone.
