When can you say that he or she is a true friend?

just go with the phrase "a friend in need is the friend indeed" and u will find who is your true friend...the friend who has supported u in ups and downs at every moment of life in every problem...in every event of happiness as well as sadness ....who has taken you away from sorrow.....that person is the true friend of yours.....just ask to yourself and you will get answer...... happy mylotting

Everyone has this idea of a true friend... I view myself as a true friend I "TRY" to be there when I am needed I "TRY" to be understanding I "TRY" to help in anyway i can except for loaning money I NEVER loan money but if I can spare it I will GIVE it to u and if u pay it back woo hooo that is great if not then no feelings are hurt, I would NEVER ask to borrow money..... Money is evil and can wreck a friendship... I keep what u say to my self... I dont gossip... If your doing something stupid I will talk to u about it... I DO NOT expect u to be at my beckoning call I understand u have a life. These are all the things I need for a friend as far as true friend well ........ they are all true friends the rest are acquaintances

Absolutely. True friends are so very hard to find. I would also like to add that a true friend also will gently steer you in the right direction if you are a bit off and offer constructive criticism. That is, criticism with compassion and understanding of your emotions and circumstance. I have friends who are like that and can trust when I present something to them they will answer me honestly even if I may be in the wrong. They also at the same time comfort me. Being given an opportunity to change is always good. Though there are some who will tear one down and make one feel badly no matter what. Those are not true friends. Only when he or she stands by my side no matter what the situations are.I can just be myself near her and she stil prefers to be my friend.Though its really hard to find a true friend nowadays.

There is a traditional saying "a friend in need is a friend indeed".When i was unhappy about my job,life or emotional problem,if someone came to accompany me and comfort me all the time,then my inner heart would feel warm although i was adversity.In my real life,there are five true friend around me and help me from my various problem and difficulties.We ofen gather together to know the recent situation with each other.We share the happiness and hardness,challeges and try to sovle issues together.

First of all welcome to mylot. You have rightly mentioned all the qualities of a friend but even I would like to have all those qualities because that is what my friend would accept from me also. I have selective friends and I can say very proudly that my friends do possess all these qualities and are always there for me no matter what the circumstances and then they are also the ones who would be the frist ones to point out my mistakes even if I feel bad about it may not like it at that time. True friend for me is someone who support me in everything that I do but in a good way. Not support in bad things that will ruin your life at the end. A true friend is someone who will cherish every moment you have shared with. Someone who will never backbite you and who is always true in her words and deeds. Someone you feel like he or she is part of your family already. Like the feeling of closeness that you know deep inside you she will never leave you in ups and downs in your life. Like your so comfortable being with her and even if she is far away from you she will make a time to reach you. She wouldn't let the distance be the barrier of your friendship.

I have a best friend, she also is my true friend forever. She always lend her shoulder to me when i'm sad. She is a good listener too. She always give me useful advice when i'm get into trouble, and support me when I have an exam on the next day. We must know how to choose our true friend. When i still at secondary school, i thought every1 is treating me good, but at last, I just realised that they only will very friend with you when he/she need you to do something or homework for them. When I am getting trouble, what will they do for you?! They just sitting far from you, like nothings happened. Even only a support they also wont give you! Some are really selfish. Sometimes i really really feel that why I have such friends like that? Why want to find a true friend is so difficult matter? at this time, my true friend comes over me and said she will always be here for me no matter what happens in the future. She said she willing to listen every problem that i had faced. This is called true friend. and i'm so glad I have such a good friend in my life!!
