England vs Germany, Argentina vs Mexico.Your prediction?

We will watch one of the most awaited games, between England vs Germany, so sad they have to beat each other in 16 round, not in semis.Argentina vs Mexico is rematch of 4 years ago Cup, Argentina almost lost before Maxi Rodriguez score a beautiful goal in the extra time. It is a battle between Barcelona teammate, Rafael Marquez and Lionel Messi. They have to be enemy as they represent their own country. Mexico is quite a good team,with great spirit. Argentina play beautifully, but their defense sometimes becomes a problem, like horrible mistake De Michelis made when South Korea equalized. I think Argentina will win, but not easily. England vs Germany...hmmm...I think it may be decided after extra time as the game will be very tough. What`s your prediction for these games tonight?

Haha,I agree most of your opinion.
England has not won Germany since 1966 in the important, but I think this time it will be different.Fabio Cappllo's team is always hard to beat, Gerrard and Lampard will control the midfield and the ball.Germany looks a little young and lack of experience.
Mexico always makes Argentina headache, although Argentina looks stronger than Mexico, Mexico also has its Opportunity.

I think Argentina will beat Mexico, or I hope they do because I think Maradonna is a legend I would like him to win the world cup as a manager. Also I think is a fantastic player and I love watching him play.( How do you make Messi play rubbish........ put him in an England shirt lol). As for the England game I'm letting my heart rule my head and go for England to win.

the germans deserve to win over england..with better team and experience, i have no doubt that germany will score many goals..
for 2nd match i would love to see messi scoring hatrick. its going to be a tough game with mexico, but we'll see how maradona handle this. i think maradona need to push up their midfield to get through the mexican defence. argentina got very nice forward and just need to work on defence.. overall argentina will score 3 at least and cruise on winning...

It does not matter which stage that they meet. If you have to win the world cup, then you need to be prepared for any test at any time. I think this is going to be another classic match between Germany and England. If the match ends in normal time or extra time, I think England will win it with Rooney being very instrumental. But if the match goes to penalties, then Germany goes through with Defoe and Lampard missing their spot kicks :).
Argentina vs. Mexico is also going to be another close one with Mexico having a chance to avenge their knock out by Argentina in the last world cup. But I still think Argentina is much stronger than Mexico and they will win this one 3-1 which Higuain and Messi scoring.

Hi jasmeena yeah agree with almost all of your opinions.Even I believe that Argentina will make it to the last 8.Regarding the match between England and Germany of course it will bve a tough game for both sides and there is every possibility that the game will be decided in the penalty shootout.However if Swainstaiger can't play then England will definitely have an added advantage and there will be a possibility to finish the game off within the 90 minutes itself.So my bet is Argentina nd England.

Well I would LOVE England to beat Germany, but I think that they are going to have to play so much better than they have in their previous matches.
However, perhaps the reaction they got to these matches may just spurn them on to do it !!

I think that both games will be close. I will go for 2 - 1 wins for both Argentina and England.

It is very hard to say with both games, but I will give it a shot anyway: I think Germany will win, not sure if during the actual game or on extra time though. If I had to guess, I would say it will be either 1-1 after 90 mins, or 2-1 Germany, but either way, Germany will win in the end.
Argentina should be able to win over Mexico so the game does not go to extra time, if you ask me. I am betting on 2-0 or 3-0 as the end result.
But I have been surprised several times in this World Cup already, so I might be completely wrong!

England - Germany - a win for Germany by 1 goal, the goalscorer will be Klose or Oezil. The England players are showing quite not so good game - something, that I can't say for the Germans.
Argentina - Mexico - Argentina will score a goal in the first minutes of the match and they'll get to the defense. At the middle of the 2nd half they'll make a counter attack and will score second goal with which to ensure their victory. Mexico can score 1 goal but it wouldn't be enough.

The match between the two powerhouse nations of soccer England and Germany is definitely a game to watch out for. Considering the history of both teams. It is hard to predict who will come out victorious because both teams are capable of making things happen. But i would like to see England advance to the next round.
I am rooting for the Netherlands for this world cup and am worried that they will have to meet Brazil in the semifinals if they beat Slovakia.
