It was going to be big news either way. The USA in the quarter-finals would continue the American general public’s love affair with soccer. Ghana in the quarter-finals would mean one African team still left in this first African World Cup. When USA lost one score no one doubt they can not get one score. However the miracle didn't happen again. I want to say I'll see you again and you bring us wonderful matches.

I think there is no shame in the way the US team went out. They fought till the bitter end. Their qualification to the second round was itself a good achievement. But I think Ghana is their bogey team as this is the second straight world cup where they have eliminated the US in the knock out stages. I think US needs to build on this showing and increase it's pool of players. I think their bench is still very weak and they do not have impact players who can change the game coming off the bench which is absolutely necessary for such a big tournament.
Cheers!

That's a great success for the American players! When have they qualified for the elimination round in the World Cup?
For the match last night, very good 2 teams, a lot of situations for goal and a really good game for this World Cup's standards. Ghana had some more luck, so they won. In the next World Cup USA can get to the 1/4 finals - it's quite real.
