Anyone Besides Me Getting that End-of-Month Writing Panic?

I tend to be a procrastinator, and it often takes me a long time to write articles. This month has been really challenging for me, and now I find myself in a panic to finish all my commitments for the month. Anyone else experiencing this? Or is everyone wrapped up on their writing obligations?

I think I am in the end of the month lag. I really churned out a lot of stuff this month so now I am not in the mood to push so hard. Of course I can't spend all of my time in front of the computer and neglect the rest of my life...

What? Did someone actually mention their "real life"? lol
It's good to get here (end of the month) and feel that you have already accomplished enough. I made a little progress yesterday and hope to make a little more today with wrapping things up.
I swear next month I am going to get ahead, but by the time the new month arrives, I am burned out from the end of the month push. Can't win by my system.

Well Sandra has inspired me so I hope to climb the charts at Helium next month. I just need to be sure to keep some time and energy for other sites and getting stuff done around the house.

Hi Art, you are getting as bad as Mommaj now!
Are you migrating into her cave? You better not, or else you will be saying no time no time, and takes ages to write a single article.
Fortunately you need to write so many articles a month. If not for the obligation to write, I doubt you will write anything at all.

Yes, I am a big procrastinator. And I really got burned this month because my computer got a virus and shut down completely. I had to take it in to get repaired and ended up losing one of my AC guaranteed articles and losing money from promoting my articles on Gather.
I just bought a new laptop last night, but it needs an external modem as I still have dial up. Once I get that I will be back in business. It's been a frustrating past 6 days! Now I am already behind for the month. I am like the rabbit in "Alice in Wonderland" I'm late, I'm late.

Hi Art, you are getting as bad as Mommaj already!
Why you never think of backing up the article in the first place? Just set up two email addresses and send from one email to another.
I think you can still write on paper and transfer the articles online when you have the laptop.
If you have lived in Singapore, I would have dragged you to the Internet cafe or library to do work.
I wont let you hide in Mommaj's cave. Hurry up and write! I think you need to set your personal deadline earlier.
I thought I have cooked the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland?

I do not have much commitments when it comes to writing. I write for Helium and I manage to write only an article a day. I do write for other sites as well. Writing adds passive income and that is why I feel worried when I am unable to find ideas to write. Sometimes I am in a good mood to write and at other times, I end up wasting time browsing one thing or the other.

It's good to be able to write without these presures and instead spread your writing out over the month! Good luck with your continued writing success.

Just reading your question has inspired me to do more writing. I have written one book which is on the market and finished another that is just sitting on my computer. I want to get more into article writing but I have procastinated. Thanks for the kick in the pants.

I Have made myself a goal this month to finally get the payout. I have not had the payout since December but this month was really important to me as i am going vacation and any money coming in is going to help me so im telling myself that i have to meet the payout this month. I am really close but havent met the 10 dollars yet so today i have been really into mylot and have been responding to a lot of discussio and i have also started one discussion.
I am pretty close but hope i can make th 10 dollars.

Hello, Art. No, I tend to back pedal a bit at the end of the month. I managed about 85 empties and under 5s for Helium, so I'm quite happy with that, and my page views are good.
I wouldn't say I was a procrastinator, or particularly committed. What I tend to do is write a lot when I'm really in the mood and let everything else go hang, and take it easy when I seem to be short of ideas. It works for me, but it wouldn't suit everyone. That's the beauty with writing though - you're the boss.

Sandra, you're amazing. My new goal is to do about 40 empties a month (which would eventually also mean at least 10 competitive under 5s) to get me to a good payout and have time to work on building the other sites up to equal helium.
If I can manage at least 3 a day I know I will make it and more but some days I don't get to do any :-( The passive income is getting up there though so that's encouraging.
When you run out of ideas try book reviews.

I agree with Canellita: Sandra, you are amazing. Actually I don't worry too much how many articles I do for Helium (although perhaps I should be a little more focused there), and luckily, their cut-off date for the month is the 25th, so with the end of the month at Helium, I am not too worried.
I write for Gather SocialWrite and AC as featured travel editor and local editor for Chicago, and those are what's driving my panic button right now.
Sorry to hear about England losing at the World Cup. I thought they could beat Germany. Are they out now??

Hello, Canellita and Art. Thanks for the compliments, but I'm not amazing, just a writer who loves what she does. Actually, focusing on empties and under 5s has got me into realms I never would have dreamed of.
I've been doing some fishing titles - I don't fish, but my husband does, so he's good for clarification. Not only am I second in the contest at the moment, I've had a webmaster from a fishing site come back to me and say it's nice to read someone who can be both authratative and entertaining on fishing, and he can't wait to read more. Does you good that, doesn't it?
Yes, England have gone now. I'm drowning my sorrows at the moment - although I don't think there's enough vodka in Spain to do that!

Hello AnythngArt,
I don't have writing commitments, thus not in any panic at the end of the month. Who do you write for, may I know? I feel that because I don't have any commitments, I tend to procrastinate more, since there is no pressure to be productive.

While I write for Helium, my real tangible commitments come from Associated Content (where I write 3 travel articles a month as a Featured Travel Writer and 2 as a Featured Local Writer for Chicago) and for Gather SocialWrite, where I have to produce 20 articles a month. All that doesn't sound too bad, but I usually only write one or two articles a day, and it has to include my Helium writing as well. That's the real problem. I write too slowly.
Feel glad that you don't have this pressure.

I am this way too. I procrastinate and then when it comes close to payout day I panic and start writing a lot. I cram in many articles in one day just to reach my payout. The money I make writing articles really helps pay the bills for me.
