Before his proclamation as the VP winner in the last election, Binay said he wants to be the head of DILG, so that he can continue what he had done in his home town, Makati. He wants the whole Philippines to be like Makati. But because he came from the opponent party, the LP leadership are thinking the other way.Because of this he said he will not accept any cabinet post Pres. elect Aquino will offer him. What do you think guys will VP Binay change his mind.Anyway the vice president is elected with no cabinet post but he is the 2nd in command or spare in case the Pres. became incapacitated.Your opinion guys will he accept or better not?

If VP-elect Binay is going to pursue his ambition come 2016 he should not accept any cabinet post as it will tie his hands to a certain certain sector whatever the post will be assigned to him, while if he is not going to accept any position, he can do whatever is mandated to the office of the vice president to constituency as a whole, or to all sectors. Just like the outgoing vice president Noli de Castro, as he was appointed as housing czar, he doesn't seemed to be the vice president at all but just as the usual cabinet secretary.

He sounds like a brat who did not get his parents to buy him the toy that he wants. It is not a good sign of the character of this man. He is the vice-president and so until the president is still capable, he does not have the right to make demands. It is the president's prerogative whom to place where, and if his boss feel that he will make a better head for the fact-finding commission, he should obey. It is just like any other company where an employee, even if he is the VP cannot oblige the president to put him in a position that he wants.
I do hope that he will. The fact-finding commission will not put him in contact with the other LP members whom he accuses of alienating him. But I think that he will stand pat on his decision just to one-up those whom he perceive to be his enemies in Noynoy's camp.

After the coming out of the news that Binay paid some people to help him win the elections, I started doubting his real purpose. Is it really for the country or for personal gain. He had been vying for that DILG post and I bet because he was close to the late Pres.Cory he thinks he can get his way around. But if I were him I'd wait for whatever post should be given him. Now it looks like he has ulterior motives in wanting that position.
