We have a lot of clothes in the closet, yet we end up wearing the same one.

we have our favorite clothes.I have several dresses that are my favorites.I would love to wear it everyday.my mom told me I have a lot of clothes.I do have some favorites that I would love to wear everyday.

i do actually wear 95% of clothes in my closet however, my two daughters are totally like what you are talking about. they have tons of clothes but only wear their favourites all the time.

This never ceases to amaze me. I have two closets stuffed with clothes yet I continue to drift to the same four or five outfits. We just made a major move and I donated everything that I don't wear but there were still some things that I know that I paid a lot for and have barely worn. I just can't seem to get rid of them. Now that I'm retired, it seems that all I really wear are workout clothes or jeans anyway but I keep thinking that I will need a nice outfit for some occasion and I won't have one.

First of all welcome to mylot. Your discussion is very interesting. It does happen to me all the time. My hubby would scream at me saying that you have so many clothes why don't you try those and that is when I would try something different. Ususally I just tend to pick up the same clothes over and over again, can't seem to find an answer though. Even if I want to give off those clothes I usually give it to the people who are needy.

Yes. I agree. when I'm looking through my closet for clothes that i should give away to charity, I usually end up collecting nothing. I don't know why. but maybe i have some object attachment issue. Because once I'm in trying to give away some of my clothes, I always think of a reason not to, even though I don't wear them no more.

It does happen to me as well. I think it is just the clothes we like the most we wear the most. It also depends where i'm going but i like my body so i like the clothes that fit it the best :)

I love my old clothes and that is why I feel it really hard to throw them out.Last month I decided to give them to a girl who lives near here and whose situation is really bad and guess what?When I went to throw the rubbish I saw most of my clothes in the dust bin.She didn't like them and they were almost new.I felt sorry I didn't give them to an orphanage where I would be sure someone would like them.
