I'm sorry mate! The announcers said that England didn't play as a team. Do you think the chemistry was wrong from the start? Hpw would you fix it?

Team selection is wrong, Stevie Gerrard is a good player and should be our lynchpin in the centre of park in stead of over-rated fat Frank Lampard who offers nothing to the side, this would allow Joe Cole to start and influence the game. I would start Wayne Rooney instead of his evil twin brother who has been playing. But I think we missed Rio, because our defending was like a school side defending it was awful.

I have no idea i am a bit shell shocked. England played terrible. How when trailing 4 - 1 can England bring on Emile Heskey. Why ?

Emile Heskey has only scored 3 goals all season for his club and he is classed as a forward. I would not have even picked him in my 23 to go to the world cup never mind bringing him on when we needed goals.

Hi Sarah!
All your reasons appear logical and I would like to add one - it was not England's day, the luck was not in their favor, the luck was with German team, so they won. German, I believe, has nonetheless, a very competitive team.

Germany taught England a lesson in football today. I think Joachim Loew goes one level up in my books. I thought he did not have the technical nous to tackle Fabio Capello, but he proved me wrong. He setup his team to run their way to victory with pace and showed up the slower English players, who at times looked like they could not cope with the pace. Of course, there was the disallowed goal and the shots that came back off the bar, but make no mistake about it, Germany would still have won the match!!
Fantastic match and great football by the germans.
Cheers!
Ram

I think England and Germany are similar team and they are in the similar level. However, there is an interesting fact. That is it seems that England usually wins in the less important matches. And Germany usually wins in the important matches.
I love China

once england beat germany 5-1 just think it was a pay back
we cant tell theyll be able to beat england always but in the match i felt rooney was lazy lol he was not sprinting at all as if he lost interest to play
and then in the late game germany was toying with england by just passing the ball here and there
WE CANT SAY WHAT MAY HAPPEN

Hello, Sarahruthbeth. Germany don't always beat England - we have the advantage of two world wars and one world cup, after all. The problem was, England believed their own hype. They weren't up to the job. Germany aren't either - they'll go out to Argentina.
We have to face the fact that our players are not committed to their country. Treason is still a capital offence in England - perhaps if we behead Rooney as an example, the rest of the team will get their act together in time for the European Championships. Or maybe not.
