hi there mylotters.
this question is for the females.
there was a trend (as claimed) from 2 years back on wearing black or dark bra under white blouse. was there such?
i have some friends who would follow this fashion style. however, i do not think it's appropriate especially if the attire is deemed as business casual. i was the only one who was wearing white blouse and light colored bra. for a while i felt as if i was screwing a fashion statement. but i realized that it would be quite inappropriate especially if you get to talk to a bunch people for 2 to three hours. they would just be staring at your chest, not your face.
was i just overreacting? or am i on the right track?

I think you are completely right, to tell you the truth. I cannot remember a trend like that myself, and even if there was one, I woulc never have jumped on that bandwagon, since I think it just doesn't look good. Nobody should see your underwear, unless they specifically ask to, haha. But I remember that there was a time when a lot of girls thought it was nice to show their thongs too, so it makes sense that the same people would not mind too much about a bra showing either...

a lot of people still let their thongs hang out! lol. i try really hard to match the right pants with the right underwear. and now that there are so many low rise undies there is no excuse any more.

I don't remember a trend like that. But I think it is so gross to do that especially with a white shirt.

hello pretty ladies. thank you for taking time in responding to this post.
i still see a lot of women who would flaunt their thongs. gross! the thing here is, the men i know do not think it as sexy.
in the first place, underwear shouldn't be seen.

i haven't heard of such trend but wearing black or dark colored bra's under a white blouse is okie with me as long as it fits well and looks good and that the one wearing feels good about it. it dosen't bother me, but im just more concerned that if your wearing a white blouse and you wish to wear colorful or dark bra try the t-shirt bra coz its better to look at rather than those bra with bulky flower and laces on it. i wear colorful and dark color under garments. y? because i feel sexy when i wear one! =)

hello
Although the question is only for girls ,, but I really wanna join the discussion because I had that thoughts too..
couple of years ago I noticed this trend and really it was inappropriate because it does send the wrong message all the time ,, as you are saying ; hey there look at my boobs contour ,,
A lot of times we (guys) can notice the bra , when it goes with the color of the dress or shirt it gives a hint that this girl is really smart and intelligent ,, but when it looks odd , it gives a hint that the girl is somehow cheap ,, or wanna show others and make them notice her Bra ,, and the guy can think of million thing when he sees such a thing ...
Fashion is nice , and being stylish is something cool ,, but not all the time .. so be careful and don't just copycat what others do

im with you. if they want that kind of attraction good for them, not me. i dont get depressed when people dont like me but i want the way i look to send the right message about who i am. what i choose to wear says a lot about who i am. some people like having people stare at there chest, its good attention. i like people to have meaningful conversations with me. to each there own, but i vote inappropriate to wear black with white.

I am not certain with the fashionable trends but I most of my underwear is in black color. When I was younger I had a lot of colors in my drawers but then without thinking a lot about it I started buying only black bras.I don't care of the people's opinion for me so that I wear and bright clothes with dark underwear.

Hi, goddessjes
I have no problem with people girls who wear black or dark-colored bra under white blouse. I mean, I would probably stare for a moment but I am sure I would quickly be able to forget about it. However, as for me, that would be a no-no. I am conservative that way. I do not like showing off my undergarments.
Cheers!

Wearing a dark colored bra under a white shirt or even a light tan shirt is a fahion do not. Who in their right mind would even think to do something like this? I mean seriously now don't they look at themselves in the mirror before leaving and if they did they must of thought they looked good i guess.
I could never see me doing this at all, my family would tear my head off if i ever did something like that.

I am not sure if it's a trend.for me,it's not really appropriate.I would prefer wearing a skin tone bra under a white blouse.a colored underwear will really show off under a white top.colored bras should be under colored tops.

It's not really so bad wearing black or colored bras. I think it only becomes an issue if you get very conscious. I like colored bras. I wear them not to get attention but simply because I like them. I think it's important to like what you are wearing. I don't want to wear something because people say it's good to wear.

The only time you should wear a black or dark colored bra uder something white is if you want to draw attention to it. If you don't want someone to notice the color of your bra under white, it is not a good idea to choose a dark color. It may be fashionable, but it might bring you unwanted problems. The traditional white or beige would be appropriate here.

Yes, this was fashionable for a while. I think it looks silly. In my opinion, it's best to keep your bra out of view, so I would wear a white bra under a white top. But I would expect younger women to think it was fun to show their bra this way.
