most filipinos are experiencing hard time coping up with financial crisis and most would prefer working abroad to seek greener pasture due to lack of opportunities in our own country. Some had been successful in their fields and had somehow manage to make their lives better, and some had ended up with being fooled or maltreated by their employers. There are some wives that has been cheated by their husband, while the wives worked hard abroad, the husbands spent the earnings into their vices, having a mistress and so on... that eventually end up in breaking the family. Do you think it is appropriate for the wives to work abroad, leaving their family at home and giving the husbands the opportunity to cheat, or vice versa (of course with the exception to those who are faithful)?

I am a Filipina...
It is very hard to work abroad and worst to be away from the family but since our life in the Philippines is harder. We sacrifice just to make our life better.
I once told a friend, being in the Philippines is financially hard but being abroad is emotionally torture... I said that statement because of the loneliness we feel being away from our family.
-- Answer to the question if it is appropriate?... It is not appropriate but s/he doesn't have a choice. They have kids and they need to survive.
*Just an opinion*
