I love hearing to soft music whenever i feel like and it really takes off my daily tensions and also give me a charged up feeling. But there are many people who love to hear loud music for long time and i feel it will effect their health as well as their hearing and it is good if they avoid it at the earliest to reduce future problems for sure.what do you all think about this?

I some times listen to loud music and some times soft music. It depends on what I'm doing. I love listen to loud music when I clean. but if I'm just sitting around I'll listen to it softly.

Anything too much is bad. Exposure to loud music for a long time can really cause mild deafness. But I think once in a while is ok, I remember going to a concert and I was near a loud speaker, after a few minutes I felt something in my ears. To my surprise its a small piece of dry earwax that somehow with continuous vibration it just fell off. It really was a funny experience. ;)

It seems that every one almost has an individual special method to decrease pressure or let off steam. Compared with yours,I perfer soft music a bit more.I think it is totally OK and not harmful for you to listen to loud music casually unless all the time every day.But I am sort of afraid that maybe your neighbours will protest against your habit sometimes because of the noise disturbance. Maybe you can wear earphone instead.

I've gone to quite a few metal shows in my day and those were really loud and I know that definitely effected my ears. As we get older, our hearing tends to decrease anyway and so now I put in those little sponge ear things if I know I'm going to a show that's going to be loud and I try (though it's hard) to not have the volume turned all the way up when I have my headphones in. I have cheap, crappy headphones so you can barely hear it unless I turn up the volume quite a bit. I think headphones may just be bad for your ears in general, regardless of what volume you have them on. It sucks.

When I was way younger, I listen to music very loud as if our ceiling and roofs are moving already. But I felt something aching in my ears and I worried about my eardrums. That is why now, I just listen to music just enough for me to hear and relax. Now, even if the sound is really good but if it is very loud, I don't enjoy it much already. So we really have to take care of our ears by avoiding to much noise or loudness.
